Description
This was the first visit to Japan of the legend who created the “Hisho Legend”, which was realized in the summer 40 years ago. The Osaka sound board recording has been expanded to a complete form. This work is the second installment. This is a stereo soundboard recording of “August 19, 1981: Osaka Festival Hall (night session)”. As mentioned in the simultaneously released “OSAKA 1981 AFTERNOON SHOW”, their first visit to Japan in Osaka was two performances a day. While the best stereo soundboard recordings were left in both, both were incomplete versions. This week, a full live album supplemented with the best audience recording will be released at the same time. At our store, we have archived many masterpieces of MSG’s first visit to Japan, so please organize your collection by date.・August 12th “Hisou Densetsu” & “DEFINITIVE BUDOKAN 1981” ・August 14th “NAGOYA 1981” ・August 17th “INTO THE PALACE (Fukuoka)” ・August 19th “OSAKA 1981 AFTERNOON SHOW” ・8 August 19th: Osaka Festival Hall (night session) ←★This work★ ・August 20th: Kyoto Kaikan Hall 1 *Note: Only representative works will be shown in each performance. Above are all 6 performances. “Night Section” of this work is a live album at the end of the album, which only leaves the final Kyoto. This work, which records such a show, is truly a superb masterpiece. It is produced using the same method as the sister work “AFTERNOON SHOW (Zodiac 451)”, the sound board is “official masterpiece class”, and the audience recording used for supplementation is also clear and tight. When it comes to the audience recording of the Osaka (night section) performance, some people may remember “TALES OF 1981”, but even that masterpiece uses a famous recording that is not even close to its feet. Now, even if the sound quality is very similar to “AFTERNOON SHOW”, the complementary content is different. Let’s organize the set here as well and check the combination points of sound board / audience. God (6 songs)・Armed And Ready/Cry For The Nations/Victim Of Illusion/Into The Arena/Tales Of Mystery/Lost Horizons Mythology (6 songs)・Attack Of The Mad Axeman/But I Want More/On And On/ Never Trust A Stranger/Let Sleeping Dogs Lie/Are You Ready To Rock Others・Ride of the Valkyries (★: Opening BGM)/633rd Bomber Squadron/1812 (★: Drum Solo)/Courvoisier Concerto/Doctor Doctor *Note: “★” The marked songs are supplemented by audience recordings. …and it looks like this. Basically, it is similar to “AFTERNOON SHOW”, and the audience is supplemented around the opening “Ride of the Valkyrie” and Cozy’s drum solo. However, this one has more line parts, and the guitar solo “Courvoisier Concerto” that was supplemented in “AFTERNOON SHOW” is the entire soundboard, and “Tales Of Mystery” and “Lost Horizons” before and after the supplementary part are also just Only the completed part, all the performance sounds are from the sound board. And, beyond such complementary points, the strong difference is in the performance itself. In fact, it’s seriously falling apart. “AFTERNOON SHOW” was MSG’s performance that surpassed that of the Nippon Budokan, but perhaps they let their guard down, or maybe they were just tired during the day, and by the night they were so meta. Gary Burden, whose voice turns upside down from the opening “Armed And Ready”, is expected, but the essential Michael Schenker is devastating. In particular, the solos collapse in new songs such as “Attack Of The Mad Axeman” and “But I Want More.” He completely forgets the melody and tries to play it, and ends up losing track of the song itself and having trouble finding the right time to return to it. At that time, it was before the release of “Shinhwa”, so the audience may have thought it was “that kind of song,” but to hear it now, it’s so thrilling that it goes beyond a bitter smile and sends a chill down my spine. It is quite dangerous that Paul Raymond is lured by the misery of the main character and often makes mistakes in entering, but it is still the rhythm section of Cozy & Chris Glenn that prevents the show from collapsing itself. Koji, who was not feeling well at the Nippon Budokan, seems to have recovered, as he brings the entire performance together with a tight beat, injecting dynamism while controlling the progression of the song. And Chris is amazing. Cozy’s beats are interspersed with meandering phrases, and it’s precisely because Michael’s phrases are lackluster that the bassist’s singing spirit stands out so vividly. Moreover, the bass sound of this work is fat and rich. The same can be said for the sister album “AFTERNOON SHOW”, but this is also an album where you can fully enjoy Chris’s skills and melody sense, which are often overlooked. This is the “Night Part” version of the complete double series that complements the super best sound board with the best audience recording. If the sister work “AFTERNOON SHOW” is a “good play album” with great performances, this work is a “rare play album” that is interesting because it is worn out and worn out. Both are the truth about his first visit to Japan that cannot be experienced in the remade “Hisho Densetsu”. Although each of these is a unique and superb live album, these are inseparable sister works that should be enjoyed together. Full soundboard recording of “August 19, 1981: Osaka Festival Hall (Night Section)”. This is a complete version that complements the superb yet incomplete stereo sound board with the finest audience recording of the same day. A complete change from the famous “Afternoon Session”, Michael performed a series of solos in the “Night Session” that were so worn out that he seemed to have forgotten the melody itself. This is a historic masterpiece that allows you to fully experience extremely rare plays and live performances in the highest quality.
