Michael Landau was born in LA in 1958. He started playing guitar at the age of 11 and formed a band with Steve Lukather, who attended the same school. At the age of 18, he joined Boz Scaggs’ band and even visited Japan. He is a member of “Musicians Musicians” who has a great influence on Japanese session guitar players, and although he has a powerful and heavy guitar sound, he is also good at clear and delicate playing like Pat Metheny.
