This 2CD set contains 32 rare tracks selected from Michael’s unreleased songs, songs not included in albums, limited release versions, and demo tracks including newly discovered tracks, all in master quality. This is the latest 2024 special edition, compiled from Michael’s valuable archives, which are known to have a huge amount of unreleased material, including unreleased songs that have never seen the light of day, as well as officially unreleased alternate mixes. Disc 1 includes a different version of “Slave to the Rhythm” from the original, a remix of “Behind the Mask” with added vocals, and an unreleased demo of “State of Shock” with Freddie Mercury, not the collaboration with Mick Jagger that was announced. In addition, the album includes unreleased songs such as “Get Your Weight Off of Me” and early demos of “The Loser,” limited release acoustic versions of “Billie Jean” and rock versions of “Beat It,” and a full version of “This Is It” that is longer than the album version. Disc 2 starts with a radio edit of “History,” followed by the 9/11 charity song “What More Can I Give” that became a hot topic in 2003, early demos of “Thriller,” and a version of “Ghosts” performed with Pavarotti. The unreleased song “Someone Put Your Hand Out,” released as a promo only in 1992 and leaked in recent years, a demo version of the unreleased song “I Have a Dream,” the finished version of which remains unreleased, and “Heal the World,” a demo that was suddenly leaked in 2023. This limited special edition, which brings together precious and rare recordings carefully selected from Michael’s solo career, is a must-have for fans.
