In a 2001 interview with Quincy Jones, Michael said that he wanted “Streetwalker” on the Bad album instead of “Another Part of Me.” “Michael loved ‘Streetwalker,’ and I wanted ‘Another Part of Me.’ Michael wrote them both, so it made no difference. We’d listen to it together and decide which one to choose. DiLeo was sitting when ‘Streetwalker’ was playing, and as soon as ‘Another Part of Me’ came on, he stood up with his big ass and started dancing. I was like, ‘That’s not Michael’s for me at all.’ It was so funny. […] Michael called DiLeo funny names. Like, ‘Rubber… yeah, I lost.’ DiLeo’s ass saved me.” – Quincy Jones, Bad Special Edition However, an early DAT copy dated 8/12/87 showed that both songs were scheduled to appear on the album. Recently, a version of “Streetwalker” with a western-style intro was discovered, which has been edited and included at the beginning of the album (the version included in the special edition is the 1988 version). The other versions of “Bad” are the LP and CD versions that were released in 1987. In addition to the difference in sound quality, there are the following differences. First, “Bad” is a soulful version with horns. “The Way You Make Me Feel” is a version that is just under 2 seconds longer. “I Just Can’t Stop Loving You” is a long version with Michael’s narration at the beginning. “Dirty Diana” is a long version that is about 10 seconds longer, but the performance itself is the same, and it has been arranged to sound like a live performance, but the cheers continue for a long time and then fade out and end. “Smooth Criminal” is a version where you can hear Michael’s shivering, icy breathing in the intro. And then there is the full-length version of “Streerwalker” with the western-style intro, and the version recorded with poor sound quality that was first shown at the seminar. The backing of “The Way You Make Me Feel” is heartwarming, and the singing style is different. This album includes an early demo-style fan-made version, a demo-quality remastered demo, and a long version of the Full 1987 Sessions fan-made version. “The Way You Make Me Feel” was produced with Quincy Jones and was originally titled “Hot Fever” when production began on October 2, 1985 at Havenhurst. The album version was recorded between August 1986 and July 6, 1987, but the title was changed to “The Way You Make Me Feel” during the session. “The feeling you give me, I’m really addicted to it, I’m captivated, I say goodbye to lonely days.” I think this is one of Michael’s top three songs that makes me feel happy.
