Description
This is a live recording by Michael Brecker’s band, whose trademark is his soulful blow, but this title takes a relatively orthodox jazz approach. This recording was digitized for the first time recently (February 2024) from a master tape recorded with an audience, and the input level was originally low, making it very difficult to listen to as it is. However, after careful remastering, it has been revived as a fairly good audience recording. The opening introduction is also recorded with only Michael’s announcement section at a higher volume, but this was left in because it touches on an accident that occurred on that day. The accident was that the original bass player was stuck at the airport and could not make it to the venue in time. This is a rare case in which a local player plays instead of the original members. However, unfortunately, the bass volume is low, so the details of the play cannot be confirmed. However, on the other hand, Michael’s saxophone is a very easy-to-listen-to recording.
