This recording was recorded on a stereo soundboard radio broadcast of the performance at the traditional “Jazz Jamboree Festival” held in Warsaw, Poland, from the world tour following the release of the album “Don’t Try This at Home,” which was released the previous year in 1998 and reached No. 2 on the Billboard Contemporary Jazz Albums chart. Although it is an old master, the tape is in very good condition and has been released on CD for the first time. Mike Stern participated on guitar on this tour, but Mike has not yet participated in this live performance, making it a rare live performance of an early quartet. In addition, this live performance was the debut of bassist Jay Anderson, making it a highly valuable item.
