Description
This is a must-see live DVD for fans that includes footage of their appearance at the Jazz Festival held at Hitachinaka Seaside Park in 2000 after releasing their new album “Time Is Of The Essence.” This is their first visit to Japan, and the lineup is the same as the new album, without a bassist, but with the addition of an organ and guitar, and the biggest feature is that there is no bass. That part is covered by the left hand of organist Larry Goldings. As for the song, Eight Beat “Autumn Leaves” was performed live from 1996 to 2000, but there is no official version of it recorded under Michael’s name. From the end of the second song “Timeline”, we entered Michael’s traditional style of powerful, high-speed passages, and then, as we took a breather, what started out as a duo between Michael and Larry Goldings became a little different. The surprising “Round Midnight”. The last song is Pat Metheny’s song “Song For Biblo”, which was included in “Tales From The Hudson”, and it closes the album, but unfortunately it is recorded with a fade-out. Live at Ocean Blue Jazz Festival 2000 1.Autumn Leaves 2.Time Line 3.’Round Midnight 4.Song For Bilbaobr (Fade Out)
