Description
As you know, METALLICA is a band that often performs “album reproduction live”, and many of you may have experienced the complete reproduction of “MASTER OF PUPPETS” at Summer Sonic in 2006. After that, they performed a reverse reproduction of “RIDE THE LIGHTNING” and “BLACK ALBUM” in 2012, and a complete reproduction of “KILL ‘EM ALL” in 2013… Huh? What about Justice!? Yes, while the reproduction live performances of the first five albums have been realized one after another, only the 4th album “…AND JUSTICE FOR ALL” continues to be ignored. That doesn’t mean that “…AND JUSTICE FOR ALL” is taken lightly. As with other early albums, all songs are performed live on stage. This work is a compilation video collection that collects such professional shots by overseas core enthusiasts and composes all the songs of “…AND JUSTICE FOR ALL” in the order of the songs on the album. In other words, it’s a “reenactment live performance”, but this is something that can’t be made fun of. First of all, let’s start by explaining each song… 1. Blackened (2013) This DVD is selected from the best takes of 25 years from 1989 right after the release of “…AND JUSTICE FOR ALL” to 2014. Masu. The top song “Blackened” is from the memorable Antarctic Live in 2013. Although a British researcher band has streamed live music in the past, this will be the first concert in Antarctica for a professional band with an audience in attendance. 2. …And Justice for All (2008) Next is the 2008 “ROCK AM RING” performance video. This is a beautiful professional shot that takes a turn from Antarctica and shows off the huge scale of the large crowd. Even though this work is filled with amazing professional shots, it may be the best overall as it has the triple signature of camera work, spectacle, and performance. 3. Eye of the Beholder (1989) The third song is a professional shot of the Spectrum performance from “DAMAGED JUSTICE TOUR” at the time of “…AND JUSTICE FOR ALL”. As expected, the image quality is not as good as the ultra-beautiful digital images of the 21st century, but the young METALLICA of the “…AND JUSTICE FOR ALL” era is dazzling! 4. One (2014) A commemorative performance for the 2014 Grammy Awards ceremony, which instantly transcends a quarter of a century since the previous song. It is a super representative song that has been performed 1,333 times to date, but in this work, it was chosen to be performed in collaboration with pianist “Lan Lang” only once. A multi-species martial arts ensemble rivaling that of “S&M” unfolds, with gorgeous effects such as flames and lighting. In this way, this work does not simply list all the songs of “…AND JUSTICE FOR ALL”, but carefully selects “this!” videos of each song and each era. 5. The Shortest Straw (2011) This is from the Swedish version of “THE BIG 4”. Although the other three bands do not appear in this song, this is also a monumental professional shot that will remain in METALLICA history. For those who are satisfied with only the official version of “THE BIG 4”, this will be the perfect sample to get a glimpse of “another THE BIG 4”. 6. Harvester of Sorrow (1994) This is a live version from “WOODSTOCK ‘94” where Jason Newstead’s roar is also amazing. At the end of the “BLACK ALBUM” era, Kirk Hammett, who looks like a Japanese visual kei, can be seen in a beautiful professional shot. However, even though it looks different, the guitar solo at the end has a live feel, and the heavy, gut-wrenching sound is definitely METALLICA! 7. The Frayed Ends of Sanity (2014) “…AND JUSTICE FOR ALL” is a song that was not performed live until the end, and this is a monumental professional shot that will be the first performance of the song! As of this day, all songs of “…AND JUSTICE FOR ALL” can be performed live, and this work was only possible because of this video. This is the newest video in this work. 8. To Live Is To Die (2011) This work is based on professional shots, but this is the only audience video (audio is from the soundboard). This is a record of the second day of the 30th anniversary event. It is a familiar song as part of the bass solo, but it was played in full only once on this day. Of course, it’s No. 1 in rarity!! 9. Dyers Eve (2009) The last slash number of “…AND JUSTICE FOR ALL” is a super beautiful professional shot with a tremendous amount of aggression that exceeds the album take. Even in this work, which is full of beautiful image quality, the visual beauty is outstanding! That’s no wonder, this take was also adopted for “FAN CAN #6″, and its video quality and performance are amazing. Amid the raging storm of fast-paced riffs, the sharpness of Grease’s unison is extraordinary! 10. Justice Medley (1993) After the complete reproduction of the album, a live medley of the songs “…AND JUSTICE FOR ALL” is included as a bonus. This is a leaked video of the material shot for the official “LIVE SHIT” at the Mexico performance of “NOWHERE ELSE TO ROAM TOUR” in 1993. The quality is really amazing since it was shot for official purposes, and even the cheers are raw because they are not overdubbed. This is a masterpiece medley that condenses the essence of “…AND JUSTICE FOR ALL”! “…AND JUSTICE FOR ALL” has not been reproduced in one live performance, but this work takes advantage of that and all 10 takes are selected from different live performances. As a result, while maintaining the sense of unity of “…AND JUSTICE FOR ALL,” it is also full of the fun that can only be expected from a compilation that overlooks METALLICA from each era. At first, I thought, “There must have been some stupid maniacs who said, ‘What a reenactment live. It’s cool to see it as a visual version. What’s more, it was an incredible piece that was interesting as a history of live performances written in professional shots, and perfect for trying out representative footage from each era. Even if “…AND JUSTICE FOR ALL” were actually recreated in its entirety in the future, it might not be as spectacular as it is. An entertainment blockbuster that harmoniously combines the playfulness of a maniac, the love of “…AND JUSTICE FOR ALL,” and quality.
