Mary Hopkin, a singer-songwriter from Wales, debuted in 1968 with the single “Those Were The Days” produced by Paul McCartney on The Beatles’ own record label “APPLE” and became an instant hit around the world. A video anthology of over three hours of her precious footage, including promotional footage from just after her debut, as well as TV shows and music festivals around the world, compiled in chronological order, is now available on a two-disc DVD set! [Video Anthology 1] contains footage from the 1960s, starting with her debut in 1968. Starting with the Bee Gees’ “In the Morning” recorded with Paul in the Beatles’ first Apple label promotion video, the TV show that led to his scouting, precious footage of “Sister Eleven,” which was a big hit around the world, including the number one song in the UK, live footage from the Cannes Music Festival in 1969, and TV live performances such as the Ed Sullivan Show, where he also performed the Beatles’ “In My Life” and Joni Mitchell’s “The Lights and Shadows of Youth.” The second single, “Goodbye,” also features a studio recording scene with Paul.
