Description

Disc 1 includes the Cardiff performance on January 12th from the UK tour in early 1986, and an ultra-high-quality stereo soundboard sound source that has never been on the market. Only Jigsaw and the suite “Misplaced Childhood” are included, and before Misplaced you can hear Phish’s MC saying, “I dedicate this song to Phil Lynott.” (Phil passed away on January 4th of the same year) Also, before the rust of Lavender (0:54), Fish says “Cardiff..”, so it is definitely the performance of this day. (Incidentally, the last Fugazi that appeared at the same time is presumed to be from the London performance based on the MC.) The sound quality is at an extremely high level, and the ultra-clear sound makes you wonder where on earth such a thing existed. It is a famous suite representing the 80’s. You can enjoy “Misplaced Childhood”. Phish’s charismatic performance, which moves the British audience with his skillful vocals, will move all British rock fans to tears. (The complete performance of this historical masterpiece was only performed on the 1985-86 tour, so the line recording is extremely valuable.) Discs 2 & 3 also contain ultra-high quality stereo line recordings, which are also the first to appear on a live CD. From the 1987 “Clutching At Straws” tour, Scotland recorded the Edinburgh performance on December 18th and 19th for 1 hour and 45 minutes. This is a take that was broadcast on local radio at the time, and is a mix of the latter two days of the Edinburgh performance, which was held for three consecutive days. The same sound source that is circulating among traders has a slightly muffled sound quality that includes noise, but this album is recorded with a very clear official level sound. You can enjoy an original set including the “Clutching At Straws” number with colorful sounds typical of this period, including a female chorus. The intro (trk 6) that unfolds before Fugazi, and Gisabun, where the entire venue gets excited, are valuable live documents. The large chorus and lively atmosphere that makes you think of a live performance in England are also great. Fans must listen to Incommunicado, Garden Party, and Market Square Heroes at the end of the show, where you can enjoy explosive excitement!
