Description
“HARD CANDY” is a masterpiece that welcomed Justin Timberlake, Timbaland, and Pharrell Williams. A special program for the release of the album that opened the door to a new world has been decided. This work was shot in New York City on April 30, 2008. This is a multi-camera pro shot. Speaking of the “HARD CANDY” era, the official video work “STICKY & SWEET TOUR” reigns as a symbol, but this work is also a pro shot like a prologue to that. In order to explain the circumstances around it, let’s first take a look at the schedule of the activities at that time. 2008 March 10: Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction April 18: Release of “HARD CANDY” April 30-May 10: Promo (3 times) ←★Here★ August 23-September 27: Europe (17 performances) October 4-November 30: North America (30 performances) December 4-21: South America (11 performances) ←※Official STICKY & SWEET TOUR 2009 July 4-September 2: Europe (27 performances) September 18: Release of “CELEBRATION” This is Madonna in 2008/2009. The official work “STICKY & SWEET TOUR” was filmed during the main concert tour accompanying “HARD CANDY”, but before that, a promo tour was also held. This work is the first stage of three promo shows. This show was also broadcast in the United States, but this work is different. It was broadcast on a certain terrestrial station (which is currently a hot topic), and it is the Japanese broadcast version complete with subtitles. This special program is about an hour long and consists of three sections. Let’s introduce each one individually. Beginning: An exclusive interview accompanying the release of the album (about 6 minutes) The program starts with an exclusive interview with Madonna herself. The theme here is the new work “HARD CANDY” that has just been released. It also covers the background and concept of the three people, Pharrell, Justin, and Timbaland, the transfer of record companies, and even the world tour. Particularly interesting is the anecdote during recording. Looking back on the mood in the studio where the stars gathered, she said, “Until now, I was used to an environment where I was always treated as a [diva] in the studio,” and “This time, I had to adapt to an environment where I shared the [diva space] with other artists.” The interviewer also asks, “Who was the most diva?” (Madonna’s answer is… please watch this work: lol). Main: A special live performance full of premieres (about 34 minutes)Then begins the main live performance of this work. It is a superb multi-camera pro shot of 6 songs and about 34 minutes. The biggest point is the new songs of “HARD CANDY”. Four songs are performed, all of which are world-wide. Of course, the other two songs are also must-sees. “Hung Up (Rock Mix)” is especially interesting. Madonna appears dressed in all black and carrying a black electric guitar. While strumming the riff of “Satisfaction”, she says, “Did you think you came to a Stones live show? It’s impossible.” Her appearance is just like Suzi Quatro. She plays the guitar alone and hits the hard rock arranged “Hung Up”. You can enjoy Madonna who is fiercely cool as a female rocker. At the end: After the precious live performance, a bonus promo video for the new song “4 Minutes” is also shown. This is not just a PV. A behind-the-scenes documentary showing the making of the production has also been added, making it a mini-movie of about 17 minutes. The Japanese subtitles are also very effective here. Not only Madonna, but also the director, her co-stars Justin Timberlake & Timbaland, and even the errand boy (?) appear. You can intuitively understand their vivid words. As mentioned in the interview, this was a special performance at the stage when they were preparing for the next world tour. Our shop also has a gift release of the Japanese broadcast version of the video work “STICKY & SWEET TOUR 2008”, but this work is also the first part of that. Now, a special live pro shot has been released to commemorate the release of the precious special live Japanese broadcast version “HARD CANDY”. The six live songs are full of new songs that are being premiered worldwide. This is the Japanese broadcast version with subtitles.
