A newly excavated recording of The Rose of the New Church by former Dead Boys’ Steve Bator, former Damned’s Brian James, former Sham 69’s Dave Treganna, and former Barracudders’ Nicky Turner has been released! A live performance held in Houston, Texas on September 2, 1982, recorded in good mono audience recording! It has been digitally transferred directly from the master cassette, and the sound quality is quite good for that time, with a well-balanced and stable sound image for each part, including the vocals, and the remastering has resulted in a clear sound quality with a clear outline. The set list includes all the songs from the debut album, as well as the coupling number “Girls, Girls, Girls” of the single “Open Your Eyes”.
