Description
The performance in Newcastle, England on July 26, 1977 was recorded over 87 minutes on a high-quality soundboard. The famous live album “Waiting for Columbus” was produced from recordings of a total of seven performances, four in London and three in Washington, which were held immediately after the main performance, but this take is a leaked sound source of a line recording of a test recording made before the London performance. However, since it is an old tape, there is some tape deterioration and some silence, but fans will be moved to tears to hear this live performance at the height of its popularity. Backed by the rhythm section of famous drummer Richie Hayward and percussionist Sam Clayton, the highlight of the album is Lowell George’s expressive slide guitar and vocals.
