Description

Lisa Stansfield’s fifth album “Face Up” was released on June 27, 2001, and the live performance at the BBC Radio Theatre was recorded with the strongest soundboard recording! She has an outstanding sense as a songwriter, and the title track from “Face Up,” which she enjoyed writing, as well as “8-3-1,” “Let’s Just Call It Love,” and “How Could You?” are actually hidden supreme songs in UK soul, and it’s great to hear them arranged live. And of course she also sings her hit songs, such as “People Hold On” by Coldcut in 1989, the absolute masterpiece manner of the number one hit “All Around The World,” the melancholy “Someday (I’m Coming Back)” which was a UK top 10 soundtrack for the movie “The Bodyguard,” “The Real Thing” which was number 9 in the UK in 1997, and the later incognito-like dance “Change” are physically performed live. Although she is a dance-pop singer, her moderate soulfulness is very pleasant to listen to, making this a fantastic live performance that everyone should listen to at least once to discover her charms. live at the BBC Radio Theatre, 27th June 2001 1. 8-3-1 4:23 2.
