This is a soundboard live sound source by the Suga Orchestra Brass Fantasy led by Lester Bowie of the Art Ensemble of Chicago. The bass is also a tuba. Billie Holiday’s famous song “Strange Fruit” is a masterpiece that conveys the lyrics even without lyrics. He also performs his album title song, “Great Pretender.” Bowie releases a lot from ECM, but the content is not cool Nordic music, but has a strong black element.
