Leon Russell, here is a live video of a professional shot from 1972. It was taken at a venue with an audience in Sweden. The performance was of course a happy swamp with Shelter People! It was a very pleasant and absorbing groove. It was familiar in Bangladesh, and probably the same feeling was felt when they came to Japan the following year. They played about 10 songs at once with the highest tension. They are still going strong and will be coming to Japan in 2009. I’m sure they will perform with the same tension, but it will be interesting to compare it with this one.
