Description

From the 2012 “VOICE OF AOR” Japan tour, which greatly satisfied fans with a fulfilling performance that exceeded most expectations, the Osaka NHK Hall performance on June 9th, the second day of the tour, is now available as a must-have title for fans, recorded completely in ultra-high quality audience recording for about 1 hour and 50 minutes from the original digital master, which is not available on the Internet or among traders. TOTO’s Bobby Kimball, Fergie Frederiksen, who was the second vocalist of TOTO in “Isolation” (visiting Japan for the first time in 27 years since ’85), Steve Augeri, who replaced Steve Perry in the reorganized Journey, and Bill Champlin, who supported Chicago since the 1980s, all four vocalists come together to perform their best hit numbers, making this a dream-like project live for fans. The appeal of this album is its high level of performance. This kind of planned live performance tends to be rough due to the hastily assembled band and lack of rehearsal, but this time the backing band, centered around guitarist Tommy Denander, who is known for his sessions with Toto members, his work with Paul Stanley of Kiss, and Michael Jackson, delivered a dense, energetic, high-quality and passionate performance that greatly satisfied the fans. The four super vocalists singing their own numbers with such charm against the backing of this band was truly enchanting. Fans were probably quite surprised to hear such a wonderful performance and performance that rivaled the original at this event-type live performance. The first to take to the stage was Fergie Frederiksen, who sang the highly anticipated “Isolation” number with ease in her intense high-pitched voice that showed no signs of fading, greatly exciting the fans. Bill Champlin appeared on stage with an acoustic guitar, and in addition to the Chicago numbers, he performed the masterpiece After Love Has Gone, which he provided to Earth, Wind & Fire. In Hard Habit To Break, you can hear a rare duet with Fergie. In the second half of the show recorded on Disc 2, Steve Augeri, the third, and Bobby Kimball, the third, sing a number of Journey and Toto’s best hit numbers with the wonderful performance of the backing band as mentioned above. Bobby Kimball has not been able to sing many days in recent years with Toto, but he was in top form on this day. The jokes were also brilliant, and from here on, the second half of the show became a complete Bobby Kimball SHOW, and in addition to the hit numbers from the early 1980s, he even performed I’ll Be Over You from the Joseph William era, which he was not involved in. Bill Champlin also appeared on stage again, and he took charge of the keyboard as a sub in Africa, Rossana, and Hold The Line, and also performed an ad-lib solo. At the end of Rossana, all the vocals are gathered together and the atmosphere is very exciting. At I’ll Supply The Love, you can enjoy a duet between Bobby Kimball and Fergie Frederiksen, a rare combination that you can’t see even in the original TOTO. Joe Lynn Turner is scheduled to participate in the “Voices Of Rock” tour in Europe after this, and I think you will be very satisfied with the quality of the show overseas, which exceeds your expectations. According to the recorder’s description, the seats are in the second row, but since there was no one in front of me, it was actually recorded in the first row. In fact, you can hear the members on stage talking and laughing without the microphone. As you can hear, the sound quality is the best level for an audience recording, and perhaps because the seats were good, there is almost no singing or clapping by the audience, which is common in this type of live performance, so you can listen to this wonderful show without stress. This is a two-disc set with the best content and sound quality. This is a great live masterpiece that is sure to become a staple among fans all over the world in the future!
