Description
A monaural audience recording of the Portland performance from the June 1972 North American tour. This sound source first appeared as “LIVE IN PORTLAND 1972” (2CD) about 10 years ago, but due to its sound quality and content, it has never been released on a disc since then, so this is the first time it has appeared in a long time. This is good news for those who have never heard the sound source. The overall sound is muffled and has a lot of hiss, but the performance itself is captured surprisingly close, and although the sound is dumpling-like, the sound is quite powerful, so it may feel surprisingly fresh to first-time listeners. Is it? (Only the last Rock And Roll has a lower sound quality than the others). In terms of recorded content, like the previous release, the early part of the live performance is not recorded (recorded from the middle of Stairway To Heaven), and it is a shame that Dazed And Confused also has several cuts in the middle of the song, like the previous release. However, there is no doubt that it is an item that fans cannot miss because it is a live performance just before the Seattle performance where they performed wonderfully.
