Description

The five shows at Earl’s Court in 1975 were not only Zeppelin’s triumphant return to London in a long time, but they were also scheduled as a special event rather than a regular tour. A North American tour was scheduled from the beginning of 1975, but ended in March. In other words, Earl’s Court was planned separately. Initially, three days were announced, May 23rd, 24th, and 25th, 1975, but due to their popularity, tickets sold out in an instant, so the two days of May 17th and 18th were announced. It has been added. Five consecutive performances at Earl’s Court in London. British fans would have to wait until 1979 to see Zeppelin in concert. Four performances have already been released, and this work is the final piece, making all five performances at Earl’s Court complete. EARL’S COURT May 17, 1975 [3CD] EALR’S COURT May 18, 1975 [3CD] EALR’S COURT May 23, 1975 [4CD] This work May 1975 EARL’S COURT May 24, 1975 [4CD+2DVD] May 25, 1975 EARL’S COURT May 25, 1975 [4CD+2DVD] Two months after the North American tour ended, a gigantic stage set weighing 40 tons. , equipment was airlifted from America to London, and a huge screen was set up on the side of the stage to create a visual effect, and the PA system was carefully checked over the course of three days in case of any trouble. It was an epoch-making stage never seen before in British rock history. Peter Grant also focused on advertising, and worked with a British railway company to decorate the body of a train with the “ZEPPELIN EXPRESS” that appears on the jacket of this work. As you can see from the jacket, it was very effective in promoting the fact that Earl’s Court can be accessed from anywhere in the UK. In fact, five consecutive performances at the same venue was unprecedented. This illustration of ZEPPELIN EXPRESS became a symbolic image of the Earl’s Court series of performances, and was used in the concert program and, as in the Earl’s Court series, on the jacket. The set list basically followed the North American tour at the beginning of the year, but with an acoustic set in between, it was a special set only for Earl’s Court, and each concert was a long one, lasting three and a half hours. That’s 4 discs worth. The show started with “ROCK AND ROLL” and immediately went on to a medley of “SICK AGAIN”. From the latest work at that time, “PHYSICAL GRAFFITTI”, important Zeppelin songs such as “IN MY TIME OF DYING”, “KASHIMIR”, and “TRAMPLED UNDERFOOT” were performed as new songs in later history. In addition, songs such as “MOBY DICK” and “DAZED AND CONFUSED” that develop improvisation are as if there were no time constraints, and these two songs alone take about an hour. The concert concludes with a medley of “WHOLE LOTTA LOVE” and “BLACK DOG.” This work is a complete recording of the concert on May 23rd, the third day of Earl’s Court, by using two types of sources. In particular, the cut of “TRAMPLED UNDERFOOT” was a devil. Many of the previously released editions have been edited with cuts in and out at 6 minutes and 53 seconds, in order to maintain the main source as much as possible, and there is a difference in sound quality, which dispels any sense of discomfort. It was impossible. This work has been edited with emphasis on the natural flow of the auditory sense, so that it can be listened to through very smoothly. Of course, it is recorded from the host’s announcement at the beginning, and there is no lack of content in the main part, and it will be the best title of the third day of Earl’s Court in terms of sound quality and content. After this, another North American tour was scheduled for August, and although the schedule for all 8 performances was announced, it was canceled due to a plant accident. The next time Zeppelin took to the stage was in 1977, but British fans had to wait until 1979 at Knebworth. This work is a complete recording of the performance on May 23, the third day of the five consecutive performances at Earl’s Court in 1975, in high quality.
