Description

Zep’s last album, “In Through The Out Door,” is now available on the original US record pressed by Presswell Records! This album was released in the US in August 1979 and topped the charts for seven consecutive weeks. It was also Zep’s last album. It was their first studio album in three years and five months since their previous album, Presence. The sound featuring Jonesy’s synthesizers symbolizes the entire album, but the seven songs included are full of Zep’s unique musicality, including samba, rockabilly, techno, and R&B ballads. If the three unreleased songs from In Through The Out Door that were included on Coda, released after the band’s breakup, had been included on this album, the evaluation of In Through The Out Door might have been quite different. The album design by Hipgnosis features a total of seven characters, centered around a character who seems to be the main character, and it is well known that six different jackets, each from the perspective of six people other than the main character, were randomly enclosed in a brown envelope (although this jacket perfectly expresses the timeline, has anyone noticed that there is one mysterious part?). The analog record used this time was an unplayed disc borrowed from a collector and played. This person said that he only opened it to complete all the jackets. Luckily, this disc was from Presswell Records, the main record plant of Atlantic Records. I think it was played in the best environment for an original analog record. You can enjoy the best analog sound! Taken from the original US LP (Swan Song Records, SS 16002) 1. In The Evening 2. South Bound Saurez 3. Fool In The Rain 4. Hot Dog 5. Carouselambra 6. All My Love 7. I’m Gonna Crawl
