*Not eligible for sale*The first super highlight is the two monitor mix soundboard masters from the Maryland performance on May 26, 1977, which will be the world’s first! The sound image is clearly different from the conventional soundboard sound source! This is something to look forward to. Now let’s move on to the Chicago performance. The 1977 US tour in Chicago, the third most populous city in the United States after New York and Los Angeles! The four-day performance at Chicago Stadium on April 6, 7, 9, and 10 was recorded with audience recording! (In 1977, Chicago was the first to perform consecutive performances.) It has been released in the past, but there were only a few, and due to its overwhelming popularity overseas, it was difficult to see and it became a rare item, so this is a nice release. There are fewer cuts than the previous one, and it has been upgraded. This is also a must-have item! On April 6, before the members appeared on the first day, firecrackers exploded and the venue was in a dangerous state! Since tickets were released, 30 young people have been arrested, so this may be a natural occurrence. The four of them were in good form, especially Plant, who was in good form and gave a good MC between songs. He was in a good mood and even sang Elvis Presley’s “BURNING LOVE”. Jimmy’s solos on “Nobody’s Fault But Mine” and “Since I’ve Been Loving You” were amazing. The last song was “Trampled Underfoot”, but you must listen to the part where Bonzo occasionally puts in the beat from “Gallows Pole”. Unfortunately, it seems that they were unable to record all the songs on April 7th. It’s a shame, but it can’t be helped, as the band was in good form. You can understand this by listening to the opening song “The Song Remains the Same”! Bonzo’s crazy drums and Page’s amazing guitar are packed into it. The bad luck continued, as we had to vacate the venue early for the local hockey team, the Chicago Blackhawks, to play a playoff game, so we had to record “In My Time Of Dying” and “Trampled “Underfoot” was dropped from the set that day. Showco, who was in charge of the sound system, seems to have worked hard to dismantle and set up the venue on Saturday. On April 9, Showco and his team re-installed the sound system that they had once dismantled and went to the live show, but Jimmy’s health was so bad that the show had to be stopped midway. Is Chicago cursed? After “SICK AGAIN”, Jimmy started playing “Since I’ve Been Loving You”. The band members thought it was “Nobody’s Fault But Mine” and couldn’t keep up, so they had to start “Nobody’s Fault But Mine” over again. What happened, Jimmy? Yes, Jimmy had FOOD POISONING. “Ten Years After a long discussion backstage at “Gone”, manager Richard Cole announced that the show had been cancelled. Unfortunately, a rescheduled show was not made. On April 10th, Jimmy seemed to have shaken off the illness he had felt the day before and was back in good spirits. What’s more, on the fourth and final day, he appeared in a Nazi SS Stormtrooper costume! The famous photo was taken on this day. He was influenced by THE NIGHT PORTER’s “Storm of Love”, which he and Richard Cole used to watch many times every night. I want you to listen to the recordings from that day while imagining the master Stormtrooper, who can only be described as “cool”. There were some changes to the set list, with “Trampled Underfoot”, which was originally the last song, being moved before “White Summer”. And “Since I’ve Been Loving You” was dedicated to Willie Dixon and his friends, and the passionate performance was just like an intense version of “Tea For One”. The last song of the four Chicago shows was “Rock and Roll”! That’s right, I guess they wanted to close the last day with “Rock and Roll”. That’s why they changed the location of “Trampled Underfoot”. The trouble-filled Chicago performance was made up for by the great play on the last day! 1st Night of CHICAGO STADIUM DISC 1 tk01…..
