Description
CDs released by WEA (Warner Electra Atlantic, now Warner Music) in the early to mid-1980s are called target CDs. Many of these CDs were made in West Germany or Japan before CDs were produced domestically in the United States, but some were made in the United States or France. The name “Target” comes from the fact that the design of this CD resembles the sight line of a gun. It is also easily recognized by the eye-catching color of the label. Compared to current CDs, there is no noise cancellation etc., so the sound quality is closer to the original, most of them are original sound sources rather than copies, and this is the history of the early compact discs. It seems that the feature is that it has value in terms of looking back on it. This time, in this corner we will be introducing the target CD of Zeppelin’s fifth album “Sacred Hall”. Of course, it is currently impossible to listen to the sound of this CD, and that is where the meaning of this project lies. Compared to the current remastered version, or the sound of past CDs and records, it certainly has a sound without excessive remastering or equalization, which gives it a unique charm. Originally, this work had a colorful sense of color and a unique sound image, but excessive remastering would make the sound even stronger, but the sound of “HOUSES OF THE HOLY as it is” on this album is The sound is sure to attract many Western music fans. The bass note of The Song Remains The Same harmonizes with the overall sound without being intrusive, and you can tell right away that this kind of sound is the best. It is easy to tell that the layering and packing exceeded the limits of recording technology at the time, so I think this flat and clear master sound, neither plain nor flashy, is suitable for the fifth album. This is a piece that makes you feel… Again, the sound is fresh, but some people may find it bland, but it is definitely recommended for those who are tired of overly forced production. Taken from the original German Target CD(Atlantic 19130-2) (41:02) 1 The Song Remains The Same 2 The Rain Song 3 Over The Hills And Far Away 4 The Crunge 5 Dancing Days 6 D’yer Mak’er 7 No Quarter 8 The Ocean
