Description
I’m sure that every Led Zeppelin fan around the world has at least one or several BBC live records or CDs on their record shelves. The BBC is so popular, but what’s included here is the “JRK REMIX” version. A live session held at the Paris Cinema in London on April 1, 1971, recorded with a super high quality soundboard! The reason I started this project was because of a comment I saw about the recording and mix of this live performance. “It’s the weakest Led Zeppelin I’ve ever heard.” I didn’t think so, but I understood what he meant. However, after listening to it many times, I began to feel that it could be a more raw and powerful mix. So I decided to use a great stereo mix with the rhythm section mainly dominating the left channel and the guitar and vocals dominating the right channel. So I equalized it and adjusted the balance of the instrument placement, such as raising the guitar position, to bring the sound closer to the center and make it more powerful. It also allowed us to bring out the beautiful instruments in the acoustic set, which were incredibly quiet in the mix compared to the other concerts.
