Description

KISS has ended all activities in Japan after completing their annual year-end appearance on the national song program. The best original video that is perfect for those who are suffering from loss at the beginning of the year has been decided to be released. This work was filmed on December 11, 2019: Tokyo Dome performance. This is an audience shot that recorded the last show in Tokyo. We have reported on the last performance in Japan with the masterpiece live albums “TOKYO DOME 2019” and “OSAKA 2019”, but this is the first video. A work that brings back memories not only with sound but also with sight has finally appeared. Before looking at the quality, let’s first check the show’s position on the Japan schedule at the end of last year, even for record purposes. ・December 8: Xebio Arena Sendai ・December 11: Tokyo Dome ←★This work★ ・December 14: Morioka Takaya Arena ・December 17: Kyocera Dome Osaka ・December 19: Dolphins Arena ・12 March 31st: Performed at the Kohaku Uta Gassen. This work, taken at such a show, is a truly spectacular audience shot. This is the original master for this work that was given to us by the photographer himself, but that person is not just a person. This is the latest work by the person who shot ALCATRAZZ’s “DEFINITIVE TOKYO 2019 FINAL NIGHT: THE VIDEO” and Michael Monroe’s “TOKYO 2019 1ST NIGHT”, which was said to be “the best video of 2019”. If you’ve seen these two films, you’ve probably already noticed the spectacular scenery with no obstructions, the sense of stability that makes it seem as if the staff were filming, and the camera work that never misses the highlight… It is a piece in which a master who is said to be like a one-camera professional shot recorded the “last KISS” by leaning on his arms. In fact, this work is also wonderful. As expected, it is a huge venue that cannot be compared to ALCATRAZZ or Michael Monroe, so it cannot be denied that it is far away, but the spectacular scenery and wonderful camera work are truly masterpieces. And a zoom that is bold enough to compensate for that distance. He leans closer and attacks so much that Paul and Jean’s upper bodies stick out from the screen. Even with that much up, the highlight is still there, and when it comes to the guitar solo, it moves to Tommy Thayer, and the chorus and many textured formations are perfect. If it weren’t for the (slight) shake caused by the distance, you’d think it was a screen shot. Well, I was able to take a great photo so far at Tokyo Dome, which is difficult to photograph. Of course, the visual beauty depicts KISS’s historic last performance in Tokyo. I have to be honest here. The biggest and only drawback of this work is that it is not fully recorded. Filming went smoothly from the start of the performance, but it ended once they reached “Cold Gin”. After that, about 5 songs were not shot, and although it resumed from the middle of “I Was Made For Lovin’ You”, it ended with the appearance of Paul moving in a gondola. It’s a shame that you can’t see the highlight part of the show. In order to heal such frustration, “I Was Made For Lovin’ You” was additionally recorded from a different angle. It’s a distant view shot that can’t be compared to the main story, but that’s why you can clearly see the huge feeling of Tokyo Dome. Of course, you can clearly witness the spectacle of poles traversing the huge space on gondolas. Until the very end, KISS was KISS, a professional among professionals. This is a video work that allows you to enjoy the final heroic performance and the huge entertainment with a spectacular view. It is regrettable that “Return” is not a complete recording, but it still lasts about 70 minutes at the site of the historic show. It’s enough to turn the memories that have already become hazy into solid ones. This is a piece we need right now as we struggle with KISS loss.
