Description

This work includes the “Memphis performance on April 18, 1974”. Although it was 1974, this work is a tour accompanying the debut work that dates back even further. First, let’s check the show’s position from the whole picture. ・January 8th-February 21st: Warm-up (8 performances) {February 18th “KISS” released} ・March 22nd-June 22nd: North America #1 (54 performances) ←★Here★ ・July 11th-25th: North America #2 (9 performances) ・August 3rd + 4th: North America #3 (2 performances) This is the tour schedule for the debut work “KISS”. The Memphis performance of this work is the 16th performance of “North America #1” immediately after the album release. It is the second day of two consecutive days in Memphis. Such a show was broadcast on the local radio station “WMC FM-100” and has produced many existing works. It has been loved as a sound board that symbolizes the debut. This work is the highest peak. As with the existing group, it is still an air check master, and the drawback of tape shaking as the song progresses from the beginning “Deuce” is the same. However, the master freshness is outstanding, and you can fully enjoy the taste of the sound board such as a clear separation and direct feeling. Especially after the latter half “100,000 Years” where the tape shaking improves, you can enjoy the official class sound without question. The quality drawn … no, the very early KISS that “touches” the direct connection is the best. The set list that opens with “Deuce” and leads to “Strutter”, and then drives more and more is exactly the prototype of “ALIVE!”. After that, the famous songs that are familiar to the mind and body in “ALIVE!” are played one after another, and the performance is really primitive. The groundwork for a historical masterpiece live album is already completed, and the way it rushes towards the finished form is poured directly into the brain with a real sound board. Among them, “Acrobat” stands out. It is a non-album song that was also called “You’re Much Too Young”. There are official live takes on “THE BOX SET” and “KISSOLOGY VOLUME ONE: 1974-1977”, but it still symbolizes this period and is a rare number that has only been recorded a few times. Moreover, this work includes a stable encore last sound, so you can enjoy it with beautiful sound that is just as good as the official take. 1974 was the year KISS took flight to the world.
