Description
The last Japan tour was finally completed. An original recording that conveys the final stage is now available. This work records the “December 17, 2019: Kyocera Dome Osaka” performance. It is an exquisite audience recording that vacuum-packs the whole story. At our store, the Tokyo performance “TOKYO DOME 2019” has already become very popular, and this work is the second one following that. First of all, let’s check the show position from the last tour schedule.・December 8: Xebio Arena Sendai ・December 11 “TOKYO DOME 2019” ・December 14: Morioka Takaya Arena ・December 17: Kyocera Dome Osaka ←★This work★ ・December 19: Dolphins Arena >>Now here<<・December 31st: Appearance in Kouhaku Uta Gassen (planned), all 5 performances +1. The other day, it was announced that he would be making a guest appearance on a national singing program, and this will be his last performance in Japan. However, the concert tour has already ended with the Nagoya lecture. This marks the end of a 42-year history that began when they first came to Japan in 1977. The Osaka performance of this work is the stage before that. This work, which records such a show, is of excellent quality. This is a work by “Western Japan’s strongest taper” who is well known at our store, and of course is an original master only for this work. As expected, the Kyocera Dome Osaka is huge, so it doesn’t sound like a “soundboard” like usual, but as usual, it is “better than the sound on site.” Despite the dome recording, which would normally be blurry and blurry, the core that penetrates the atmosphere is endlessly powerful and has plenty of density. The details are fine, and the roaring bass and sharp guitar edges are both crisp and tight. And above all, the vocals are vivid. Both Paul and Gene’s lyrics are clear to the last word, and even when they overlap in the chorus, they never mix. Perhaps because the recording position was good, even though a big chorus erupted from the venue, it didn’t come between Paul and Gene, and was so balanced that it seemed like he was carrying it from his back. Because I know that he is the “strongest” person, I think that “there is more ringing than usual and it sounds like a dome,” but if it is at a normal level, it is a clear recording far away from the dome. What is depicted with such sound is a full show that is similar to the Tokyo performance. The setlists for all performances are already known, so for the sake of summarizing, let’s organize all five performances here. ●70s (15 songs)・KISS: Deuce/100,000 Years/Cold Gin/Black Diamond・HOTTER THAN HELL: Let Me Go, Rock’n’Roll・DRESSED TO KILL: Rock and Roll All Night・DESTROYER: Detroit Rock City /Shout It Out Loud/God Of Thunder/I Love It Loud/Do You Love Me (Morioka/Osaka/Nagoya)/Beth・ROCK AND ROLL OVER: Calling Dr. Love・LOVE GUN: Love Gun・DYNASTY: I Was Made For Lovin’ You ●80’s (4 songs)・CREATURES OF THE NIGHT: War Machine・LICK IT UP: Lick It Up・ANIMALIZE: Heaven’s On Fire・CRAZY NIGHTS: Crazy Crazy Nights (Sendai/Tokyo) ●Remake era ( 2 songs + α)・PSYCHO CIRCUS: Psycho Circus・SONIC BOOM: Say Yeah!・Others: Sukiyaki…and so on. The basics have been firmly established, but only one song has been changed. “Crazy Crazy Nights” was played at the Sendai and Tokyo performances at the beginning of the visit to Japan, but from Morioka it was changed to “Do You Love Me”. The importance of “DESTROYER” has become even higher. Although the position of “Do You Love Me” changed slightly, the overall performance continued as it was in Osaka and Nagoya. In other words, the 21 songs you can listen to in this work are the last KISS greatest hits in Japan. KISS completed the tour while still appearing on singing programs, as if they were reluctant to leave any trace. This is a masterpiece live album where you can enjoy a full show that shows the height of entertainment and professionalism until the end, with exquisite sound by a master. This 2-disc set is perfect for recalling memories of the intense show, waiting for the singing program, and healing the loss of KISS that will be coming next year.
