Description

KISS made a shocking debut in 1974. A new highest peak update master joins the early soundboard collection. It has been decided to release it as a new master CD excavated by a unique route. What is engraved in this work is the “April 1, 1974 Cleveland performance”. It is a stereo soundboard recording. Our shop handles the entire history of KISS, but in the debut era, many masterpiece soundboards were left behind, perhaps for sales purposes. First of all, let’s organize the collection by schedule and approach the position of this work. “KISS Tour” January 8th-February 21st: North America #1 (8 performances) February 18th “KISS” release March 22nd-August 4th: North America #2 (64 performances) ★ Here ★ August “HOTTER THAN HELL” production September 13th-October 4th: North America #3 (13 performances) TORONTO SEPTEMBER 1974 “HOTTER THAN HELL Tour” October 16th-December 31st: North America #4 (42 performances) EAST LANSING 1974 This is the debut era of KISS, when history moved. Our shop archives as many masterpieces as possible, but the sound board is particularly rich in “North America #2” immediately after the album release. Let’s focus on the dates further here. Details of “North America #2” ・March 22-25 (4 shows) *March 25th “GEORGETOWN 1974 2ND SHOW” ・March 29 + 31 (2 shows) *April 1: Cleveland performance ←★This work★ ・April 3: Columbus performance *April 7 “DETROIT 1974 1ST NIGHT: PRE-FM REEL” ・April 8-17 (7 shows) *April 18 “DEFINITIVE MEMPHIS 1974: SOUNDBOARD” ・April 19-May 30 (19 shows) *May 31 “COMPLETE LONG BEACH 1974: FM BROADCAST” ・June 1-August 3 (21 shows) *August 4 “SOUTHBEND” … and so on. The earliest “GEORGETOWN 1974 2ND SHOW” was the best audience, but after that, there were a lot of great soundboard masterpieces. The Cleveland performance in this work was the very early record of the 9th performance of the tour. This work, which conveys such a live performance of the start dash, is a very thick and powerful real soundboard. It was produced for the famous program “LIVE FROM THE AGORA” of Cleveland’s local station WMMS 101-FM, but unlike major radio stations, this program was popular for receiving tapes from new bands and broadcasting them as they were. This work was naturally transferred from that tape. The freshness is overwhelming, there is no noise or roughness, and even the vibration of the strings and the sound of the body are felt realistically. Moreover, the direct connection of the recording itself is intense. To be honest, the unprocessed performance sound is wild and the mix is rough, but this is not a fault but a beauty. Each and every note played by the young KISS is right next to me… no, it climbs into my brain with dirty feet. When I’m immersed in headphones, I feel like I’ve plugged my ears and my brain has become a speaker. Such a master sound depicts a stage with a dawn mood. The set is a style that combines six of the 10 songs on the album with “She”, and it can be said to be a “live performance version of the first album” that slams it with youth. In addition to the fierce live performance, the MC of this work is also full of the era. It’s refreshing just to see Gene take on the MC, but there he laughs with a self-deprecating “How many people are there? 100 people?” I can’t decide if “100 people” is serious or a joke, but it’s very club-like. And the atmosphere of trying to make it a joke is reconstructed in my brain with a direct sound board. The energy right after the debut and the reality that it is still far from success. This is a soundboard album that brings both of these together with tremendous reality. A new masterpiece with a natural transfer that could only be discovered through our own insider route. Stereo soundboard recording of the “April 1, 1974 Cleveland performance” just after the debut. Naturally transferred from a tape produced for the local station WMMS’s famous program “LIVE FROM THE AGORA”, its freshness is overwhelming. There is no noise or roughness, and each sound played by the young KISS is poured into your brain without any processing. “How many of us are there? 100?” says Gene in the MC, emanating from a fierce early era.
