Of course, if you ask the original, it is recorded from the same sound board as the pro shot version, but the quality of this work is completely higher. The difference is clear immediately after playback. For example, before the performance, the flow is the trial play of each instrument → the regular announcement, but the conventional master had a sense of instability and disturbance like a poor contact here. However, this new master does not have this disturbance. The announcement roars seamlessly without any sense of incongruity, and it avalanches into “Deuce”. Of course, this is an example of an easy-to-understand scene, and this sense of stability can be felt throughout the whole work. The new master makes the buried parts stand out clearly. Furthermore, the essential performance feels more vivid. For example, Paul’s vocals in “100,000 Years” and Gene’s vocals in “Cold Gin”. In the conventional pro shot version, the vocals tended to be buried in the performance, and the lyrics were hard to hear. However, in this work, such singing voices can be heard more clearly. What’s interesting is that the mix is not different. In the scene where the vocals recede, they take a step back in the same way in this work, but the deep performance is not crushed or hidden. It is the gift of the master freshness that draws even the fine details firmly. Of course, the vividness extends not only to the vocals but also to all the instruments. In the aforementioned “100,000 Years”, Ace’s guitar is clearer and the overall feeling of congestion is eliminated. Each note is much more natural. And Peter’s drum solo that avalanches from there is the highlight! It was ferociously vivid to begin with, but in this work, each hit is even more vivid, and the bass drum and snare that tended to be hidden in the shadow of the tom are also clear and the stereo feeling is clear.
