Description
Bruce Kulick made his European debut in 1984. This superb soundboard upgrade master, which pours that initial impulse into the brain, has arrived! This work is engraved with the “October 11, 1984 Ipswich Performance.” It’s a superb stereo soundboard recording. 1984 was a turbulent time, with Vinnie Vincent, Mark St. John, and Bruce Kulick all replacing each other within a few months. Since even a slight difference in timing can completely change the meaning of the show, let’s first look at the position of this work based on the schedule at that time. 1984 January 1st – March 17th: North America # 1 (53 performances) ← * DENVER 1984 and others {Vinnie Vincent left in March → Mark St. John joined in April} {September 13th “ANIMALIZE” released} {Mark’s poor health → Bruce Kulick joined} September 30th – November 5th: Europe (29 performances) ← ★ Here ★ November 15th – December 30th: North America # 2a (29 performances) ← * Official video and others 1985 January 3rd – March 29th: North America # 2b (61 performances) ← * CALGARY 1985 and others {September 16th “ASYLUM” released} November 29th – December 31st: North America # 3 (23 performances) ← * CHARLOTTE 1985 A shocking upgrade master with no flaws This is KISS from 1984/1985. The album “ANIMALIZE” was produced with Mark St. John, but he developed arthritis during subsequent tour rehearsals. He was unable to participate in the actual tour, and Bruce Kulick took the stage instead. This Ipswich performance was the 10th performance of the “European” leg, which was also the beginning of that world tour. Our shop also has the “European” leg soundboard masterpiece “ANIMALIZE AT THE APOLLO THE WESTWOOD ONE MASTER,” which is a major staple, but this work is six days later (five performances later). This show was broadcast on the famous program “Friday Rock Show” and has produced numerous previously released groups. This work is also the same FM soundboard, but the quality is completely different from the previous one. It is the highest peak updated master newly discovered through our own related route! The sound is unquestionably “completely official grade.” Not only is it the best of the day, it even surpasses the masterpiece “ANIMALIZE AT THE APOLLO THE WESTWOOD ONE MASTER.” In fact, there’s nothing to complain about with this new master. Previously, the thinness and dubbing marks due to reception conditions were undeniable, and in some cases, the recordings even overpowered the sound to hide the degradation. However, this work is ultra-vivid yet super natural. There’s no slight disturbance in the reception, no dubbing marks, and no sense of compression common in digital distribution. And because there’s no need to hide the degradation, there’s no sense of processing, and the unique sound of the ’80s flows out as it is, transcending time and space. This is an absolute live album, featuring rare songs not included in the official footage. However, even though the sound is flawless, not everything is perfect. That’s because of the recording time. The sound board on this day was only an FM broadcast, and it doesn’t exceed the broadcast limit. That said, the approximately 52-minute listen is comparable to the regular album, and the selection differs from the official video “ANIMALIZE LIVE UNCENSORED” and the press classic “ANIMALIZE AT THE APOLLO.” Finally, let’s take a look at the set contents. 80s (7 songs): Creatures of the Night / I Still Love You / I Love It Loud / Creatures of the Night / Lick It Up: Fits Like a Glove / Animalize: Heaven’s On Fire / Under the Gun / I’ve Had Enough (Into the Fire) (★); 70s (4 songs): Detroit Rock City / Cold Gin / Strutter (★) / Love Gun. Note: “★” indicates songs not included in the official “ANIMALIZE LIVE UNCENSORED.” “*” indicates songs not included in “ANIMALIZE AT THE APOLLO THE WESTWOOD ONE MASTER.” …And so on. The highlight of this release is the new song from “ANIMALIZE,” “I’ve Had Enough (Into The Fire).” Not only is it not included in the official video “ANIMALIZE LIVE UNCENSORED,” but it’s also a limited edition track that hasn’t been played since this tour. Enjoy it with a completely official sound that surpasses even “ANIMALIZE AT THE APOLLO.” This alone makes it an absolute treasure. The sound quality is simply unparalleled. This is a superb new excavation master that combines a natural feel and a sense of production among the many soundboards. It’s an absolute live album that has evolved to be on par with or even better than the official “ANIMALIZE LIVE UNCENSORED.” This is a superb stereo soundboard recording of the “October 11, 1984 Ipswich performance.” This is a “completely official” master, newly discovered through a unique route. Not only does it surpass the peak of the same day, it even surpasses the masterpiece “ANIMALIZE AT THE APOLLO THE WESTWOOD ONE MASTER.” This is an absolute live album that lets you enjoy the rare track “I’ve Had Enough (Into The Fire)” with its incredible sound.
