Description
South America in 1994 is the culmination of the no-makeup era and a treasure trove of the finest records. A masterpiece that completes the soundboard trilogy has arrived. It has been decided to release it on the original master 2CD with a unique route that far exceeds the professional shot version! What is engraved in this work is the “September 1, 1994 Santiago performance”. It is a stereo soundboard recording that conveys the whole picture. I suddenly piled up “treasure trove” and “trilogy”, but let’s explain it from the beginning, including that. First of all, from an overview of the activities at that time, which was also KISS’s first invasion of South America. 1994, April 2nd + 19th: North America #1 (2 shows), July 30th: Nashville show, August 27th – September 16th: South America (8 shows) ←★Here★, October 21st: Phoenix show 1995, January 24th – 31st: Japan (5 shows) ←※BUDOKAN 1995 2ND NIGHT, February 3rd – 13th: Australia (12 shows), June 16th – August 9th: North America #2 (26 shows) ←※Official KISS UNPLUGGED《Production of “CARNIVAL OF SOULS” begins in November》, December 15th: Hollywood show This is the last “KISS MY ASS Tour” in the no-makeup era. The “REVENGE Tour” ended in December 1992, and for about a year and a half after that, they only did one-off stages. And they resumed touring again from the “South American” leg in the summer of 1994. This tour was their first full-scale activity in a long time, and at the same time, it was the “MONSTERS OF ROCK tour” with KISS as the headliner, and it was also their first invasion of South America. As it was such a large-scale festival tour, it was broadcast on television and radio all over South America. It became a major famous tour that mass-produced masterpiece soundboards and professional shots. Since this work is a live album with only audio, let’s organize the soundboard collection in light of the detailed schedule here. Details of the “South American” leg ・ August 27: Sao Paulo performance * September 1: Santiago performance ← ★ This work ★ * September 3 “BUENOS AIRES 1994: DAT MASTER” * September 5 “OBRAS STADIUM 1994 1ST NIGHT: SOUNDBOARD” ・ September 8: Mexico City performance ・ September 14-16: Buenos Aires (3 performances) … and so on. The first day’s performance in Sao Paulo was also made official as part of “KISSOLOGY”, but the three subsequent performances were three consecutive high-end soundboards. Our shop unearthed the masters of the leaked materials from the people involved through its own route, and they became big hits as the masterpieces “BUENOS AIRES 1994: DAT MASTER” and “OBRAS STADIUM 1994 1ST NIGHT: SOUNDBOARD”. This work is the Santiago edition, which is the first of the two consecutive works. This is the meaning of the “treasure trove” and “trilogy” that I mentioned at the beginning. This work is a superb soundboard album that updates the highest ever. There is also a pro shot version of the same day, but this work is not the sound but a radio broadcast soundboard. Moreover, like the previous two works, it is a pre-FM master brought by a unique route from the people involved. In fact, the sound is super real and powerful. Even though it is for broadcasting, it is South America. It is a so-called direct-connected mix table system, and the extremely vivid performance sound is poured into the brain without processing or adjustment. The guitar, bass, and drums all jump into my skull as if pushing each other aside, and the panning that blows away with a fierce stereo width is super pleasurable. Such vividness was also felt in the pro shot version, but this work is overwhelmingly more vivid and beautiful than the sound of the video version. The mix was different from the pro shot version, so it was a bit plain, but this work is very beautiful from high to low tones, and has plenty of dynamism. Although it is rough to call it “official class,” the reality of the live performance can be said to be more than official. It is a super real sound board where even the sound of the instrument itself is reproduced in the brain. The other-dimensional sound depicts the full show of “KISS MY ASS Tour,” which is also the clear point of the no-makeup era. The set is basically the same as “BUENOS AIRES 1994: VIDEO MASTER” and “OBRAS STADIUM 1994 1ST NIGHT: THE VIDEO” (only the position of I Want You has been changed), but let’s note it at the end just to be sure. 70’s Classics (15 songs) KISS: Deuce/Cold Gin (*)/Firehouse/Black Diamond DESTROYER: I Was Made For Lovin’ You/God Of Thunder (*)/Detroit Rock City ROCK AND ROLL OVER: I Want You (★)/Calling Dr. Love/Makin’ Love Others: Parasite/I Stole Your Love (*)/Watchin’ You/Love Gun/Rock And Roll All Nite (★) No Makeup Era (7 songs) CREATURES OF THE NIGHT: Creatures Of The Night/War Machine (*)/I Love It Loud Others: Lick It Up/Heaven’s On Fire/Unholy (*)/Domino *Note: “★” marks songs that were not seen in the official São Paulo video. “*” marks songs that were not seen in the Japanese performance pro shot “BUDOKAN 1995 2ND NIGHT”. This is a new masterpiece of the soundboard album, which forms a trilogy with “BUENOS AIRES 1994: DAT MASTER” and “OBRAS STADIUM 1994 1ST NIGHT: SOUNDBOARD”. Not only for those who loved the previous two works, but also for those who were not satisfied with the sound of the pro shot version, or for those who are “first time hearing SBD in the no-makeup era”. It is an excellent masterpiece that can be fully recommended to anyone. Stereo soundboard recording of “Santiago performance on September 1, 1994”. A pre-FM master brought by a unique related route, this is a much more beautiful update than the digitally deteriorated pro shot version. The unprocessed sound directly from the mix desk is super real and powerful. The panning that blows away with a fierce stereo width is also super pleasant, and the full show that will be the final settlement of the no-makeup era will be engraved in your brain. This is a new masterpiece that forms a trilogy along with “BUENOS AIRES 1994: DAT MASTER” and “OBRAS STADIUM 1994 1ST NIGHT: SOUNDBOARD.” Estacion Mapocho, Santiago, Chile 1st September 1994 STEREO SBD Disc:1 (65:02) 1.
