Description
The legendary soundboard album, which can only be called “ALIVE 1.5”, has been upgraded. The legendary version is the super-excellent stereo soundboard of the “August 20, 1976 Anaheim Performance”. Pro-shot footage has been famous for a long time on this day, but this work is completely different. The soundboard master who first appeared five years ago and shook enthusiasts all over the world was a leaked soundboard master. Yes, it is a brush-up of that masterpiece “ANAHEIM 1976”. The impact of the appearance of “ANAHEIM 1976” was enormous. Our shop has been releasing KISS’s world debut soundboards one after another, and this work is one of them. This series was originally from the 90s, such as “REVENGE IN DAYTON” and “REVENGE IS READY: TOUR REHEARSAL 1992”, and was thought to be a related person at that time. However, the 70s soundboard has finally been unearthed! It is also a show from 1976, the golden age of the golden age. Speaking of 1976, it was a special period when two albums and three tours overlapped. Let’s check the position of this work on the timeline at that time. “ALIVE! TOUR” January 23rd – March 28th: North America (35 performances) {March 15th “DESTROYER” released} April 11th – 28th: North America (12 performances) May 4th: M&M CONTEST CONCERT appearance May 13th – June 6th: Europe (17 performances) “DESTROYER TOUR” July 3rd – September 12th: North America (35 performances) ←★Here★ {November 11th “ROCK AND ROLL OVER” released} “ROCK & ROLL OVER TOUR” November 24th – December 30th: North America (22 performances) This is the heyday and peak of 1976. The “ALIVE! TOUR” began in 1975, and the “ROCK & ROLL OVER TOUR” continued into 1977, but in between, they were constantly creating and performing. The Anaheim performance in this work was the 25th performance of the “DESTROYER TOUR”, which was right in the middle of it all. The sound board that recorded such a live performance was of abnormal quality. After all, it was a direct-connected master with zero dubbing marks. As mentioned above, there was also a classic pro shot, but… no, because it exists, the super-class direct connection and freshness are intense. The close contact that seems to fly from the speaker to the brim, the vividly separated performance… despite the familiar live performance, it was like a completely different show. Of course, the impact shook enthusiasts all over the world. “ANAHEIM 1976” was also a big hit, and it was sold out and out of print in the blink of an eye. This work is a brush-up of such a great masterpiece with the latest and meticulous remastering. In “ANAHEIM 1976”, we delivered the truth of the excavated master exactly as it was, but this time we maximized the potential of the master. Of course, we did not make any unnecessary sound pressure, and there was no unrefined impersonation such as crushing it with overpeak. On top of that, we extended the strengths and strengthened the weaknesses. We aimed for a more natural live album. Extending the strengths means sharpening the details. Although the direct feeling was intense and unparalleled from the beginning, there was room for improvement in the fineness of the details compared to that. Therefore, in this work, each range of sound was adjusted. We improved the clarity and achieved a sound that makes the details of each sound stand out even more clearly and vividly. On the other hand, the complement of the weak points is balanced. The liveliness of the on-site mix is amazing because it is directly connected to the table, but it was also unbalanced as a music work. The guitar solo is particularly noticeable. As the direct feeling of the super-class was pushing forward, only the solo was withdrawn. In this work, we started with such solos, pushed the unnaturally weak notes forward, and adjusted the overall balance. Another point is the loud cheers between songs. Even though the original sound source was directly connected to the table, the presence of the audience was too weak. The loud cheers, which could only be heard by listening carefully with headphones, were slightly increased in volume. Of course, the sound remained the same during the performance, but the presence and enthusiasm of the audience was felt between songs. Just to be sure, it was not an overdub of cheers (never!). All were only the sounds that were sucked into the original sound board. Therefore, it is not “just like an official album”, but rather the dimension of a direct-connected sound board, but the mood between songs has been improved. The show revived with such quality can only be called “ALIVE 1.5”. The set is a golden show that condenses the masterpiece “ALIVE!” while adding a new song from “DESTROYER” that is sure to kill you. Moreover, it even roars “Do You Love Me?”, which was not included in “ALIVE II”. Such a shining set is screwed into the ears of KISS in the middle of a break… no, a direct-connected sound board that penetrates into the brain. It is a transcendent live album that gives you a full taste of the peak era in their long history. It is more luxurious than “ALIVE!” and more authentic than “ALIVE II”. And it is closer to the original ensemble than “ANAHEIM 1976”, and even the feeling of the actual stage is increased. It is the ultimate live album, a rare sound board album of KISS. It is a super masterpiece that is even worth the same as masterpieces such as “ALIVE!”, “ALIVE II” and “DESTROYER”.
