Description
There are many dream coupling live shows in rock history, but there was no combination that was so luxurious and synchronized with the psychology of fans. Yes, that coupling is KISS & AEROSMITH. Yes, the super-excellent video of the century tour “Rocksimus Maximus / World Domination Tour (commonly known as AeroKiss Tour)” that monopolized the topic of 2003 has been decided to be released! Even so, it is gorgeous. Even so, it is magnificent. Speaking of KISS and AEROSMITH, they are not just superstars in the rock world. Two sinful bands that taught healthy boys and girls the poison of rock in the 1970s and ruined their lives. Many people here in Japan may have a memory of this. The two rivals will do a coupling tour that shares the stage in one night… Unfortunately, here in Japan, KISS came to Japan just before, but we could not experience the showdown of the century. This work is a super-excellent audience shot that heals such dryness. The coupling show was realized in about 60 performances only in North America, but this work includes the “Fresno performance on December 20, 2003”. The final day of the tour is recorded in full, and it is a two-disc set with the KISS edition on disc 1 and the AEROSMITH edition on disc 2. The quality of this work is unparalleled. What is most pleasing is the experience of seeing two bands in the same position. No matter how the scene is the same stage, if the photographer is different and the angle is different, it will look like a completely different show. However, this work can be experienced continuously from the same perspective and the same quality. Moreover, the perspective is too wonderful. It was shot from the front row of the second floor seats in front of the stage, and there is no shadow of the front row that blocks the view. On top of that, the sense of stability is outstanding. Since it was a video from 13 years ago, it should not have had as strong an anti-shake function as it does now, but even if you chase the highlights, it doesn’t shake. And the image quality is fully digital and the sound is clear with zero obstructions. It’s a special seat shot where only the two big bands occupy the field of view, as if a drone was flying over the venue to take the picture. Disc 1: KISS Edition (Peter’s Last Show) The two big bands depicted with such quality are more than just a bundle. The mood of the 70s, when the two big bands competed against each other, revived with modern technology is amazing. First of all, KISS is already a thorough 70s greatest hits. It has been updated with 21st century technology, and the pyro and gimmicks are super flashy. While being wonderfully 70s-like, you can experience the hyper spectacle that could not be achieved in the 70s. Although Ace has already left, Peter, who had left “FAREWELL TOUR 2000-2001” midway, has returned and sings “Beth” in this work. Furthermore, this day is Peter’s 58th birthday. Paul encourages a chorus of birthday songs that involve the entire venue, and two female voices bring a cake. Moreover, this was the last day of the tour, and Peter left KISS after that. In other words, this work is Peter’s last brave figure. Disc 2: AEROSMITH edition AEROSMITH, who took their place, gives off a 70’s mood in a way that is the exact opposite of KISS. In fact, it is an all-time best that plays a large number of hit songs from the GEFFEN era onwards. Looking at the song list, there is almost no 70’s feeling, but it is different when you actually witness it. The stage set is extremely simple, as if you are watching a 70’s venue with digital image quality. The show also starts with a declaration from the opening, “Let The Music Do The Talking”, and the band pushes forward with their own strength. Then, they march down the runway that KISS never used, and they drag the audience along as if to show off. The stage, which mixes the 70’s rock spirit with the latest hits and slams them down, is the exact opposite of KISS, who updated the KISS 70’s production with modern technology. Both of them ran through the 70s and survived at the forefront until the present day, so it is a “fusion of then and now” that only they could do. The success of this tour must have left a strong impression on both of them, as they have done numerous coupling tours together. AEROSMITH joined forces with Lenny Kravitz, MOTOLEY CRUE, and ZZ TOP, while KISS excited the world with MOTOLEY CRUE and DEF LEPPARD. Each was a luxurious coupling, but no tour has ever allowed the two to shine as much as this “AeroKiss Tour,” and exude a sense of the era. It is truly a space that only “KISS and AERO” can create.
