Keith Jarrett Trio/Netherlands 2013

From the 2013 world tour commemorating the 30th anniversary of the formation of Keith Jarrett, Gary Peacock, and Jack DeJohnette, the best and legendary trio in jazz history, a special live performance at De Doren in Rotterdam appeared for the first time. The sound source released from the 2013 tour will be a solo performance only for the two performances held in February (Dublin and London), and after that, it will be a trio tour from the Japan performance in May. The Rotterdam, De Doren performance released this time is a 30th anniversary special live in collaboration with North Sea Jazz, and the live announcement was announced on the North Sea Jazz website. I don’t know if that’s why, but for the first time on the 2013 tour, a total of 14 songs, including 3 encore songs, were performed. Now, the most important part is the performance, where you can feel the impeccable and rich inspiration that is the fusion of the three personalities. Also, regarding the sound quality, the first half of the live performance was recorded with DeJohnette’s drums a little turned on, but the quality is close to the best on this 30th anniversary tour. Although it seems unlikely that this trio will perform live in the future, I think it is very meaningful to own this live recording.
