Description
Many recordings of the Keith Trio have been released from their European shows, but surprisingly few live performances in America, their home country, and now we have a completely new performance, with extremely high quality sound and including the encore! 2002 kicked off with only 13 performances throughout the year, all of which were with the Standards Trio, and only two in the US. The first live performance of the year was held on February 27, 2002 at Symphony Hall in Atlanta. This rare, supreme performance has been completely recorded, including both the first and second sets, as well as the encore, in ultra-high quality with careful mastering by the label, and is now available as a two-disc set, completely new for the first time! The 2002 Atlanta concert included 11 songs in total, including “All of You,” “Come Rain or Come Shine – Basin Street Blues,” “The Song Is You,” “I’ll See You Again,” “Hallucinations,” and “Bye-Bye Blackbird.” The method of adding new interpretations to famous jazz standards and cooking them as if they were original works of this trio is nothing other than a new trio jazz. In fact, they also play original works of the trio, but it is difficult to tell the difference between them. Here is a performance that can only be achieved when all elements are perfect, such as sensitivity, sense, and mutual trust that cannot be expressed by technique alone! There are not many performances that make you feel happy just by listening to them! This is a must-listen performance that Keith and standards fans, as well as piano trio fans and jazz fans, cannot miss!
