This is the first 2-disc set recorded on a carefully remastered high-quality stereo soundboard from two rare New York performances held one month before the Japan performance, in which an American quartet played the repertoire of a European quartet. Two consecutive performances held in Ithaca, New York on November 12 and 13, 1975, just before the American Quartet’s second Japan tour, consisting of Keith, Dewey Redman, Charlie Haden, and Paul Motian.
