Description
This 86-minute full recording of the band’s participation in the “Afrak? Rock Festival” held in Italy on July 11, 2006, features a single-camera audience shot with excellent camera angles and perfect clear sound except for the opening song “The Scripture of Evil,” which has some distortion. First of all, the band members are not Dave Kilminster, who played in Japan, but Southpaw technical guitarist Mark Bonilla on guitar and vocals, and the overall arrangement and set are full of originality, putting on a great show that surpasses the 90s ELP. The highlight is the opening song “Karn Evil,” where the synth sound stops halfway through, causing the performance to be interrupted, and even the cut after the song ends, which shows the band arguing with the roadie. The sixth song, Mark’s solo “White Noise,” is also played, and the intense instrumental playing of the four members in this song is the highlight of the day. Other highlights include the unusual intro to “Lucky Man” and the beginning of “Tarkus”, which is a bit off, but fans will want to check out the 30-minute performance, including the drum solo. This is not just a nostalgic tune, but a serious and fun performance that allows you to enjoy Keith’s lively and energetic performance throughout the entire album. This is a professional version with a menu chapter and a recording time of 86 minutes.
