Description
The “FIREPOWER WORLD TOUR” has gone beyond a simple album tour and has received rave reviews as one of the most famous tours in Priest history. The best video set that jumped out at the final stage is now available. This work was filmed at the “Austin performance on May 29, 2019.” This is a 2-disc set containing two types of the best audience shots. The “FIREPOWER WORLD TOUR” has brought them to Japan twice, but perhaps due to their popularity in the United States, their third North American tour has been made possible. The Austin performance of this work is one such act. First of all, let’s check the show’s position from the overall picture of the unusually long world tour. ●2018《“FIREPOWER” released on March 9th》・March 13th – May 5th: North America #1 (31 performances) ・June 5th – August 10th: Europe (30 performances)・August 21st – September 30th: North America #2 (25 performances), October 26th – November 14th: South America (9 performances), November 21st – December 7th: Asia/Japan #1 (9 performances) ) ●2019, January 27: Paris performance, March 9th-21st: Oceania/Japan #2 (4 performances), May 3rd-June 29th: North America #3 (34 performances) ←★ Here★ This is a panoramic view of “FIREPOWER WORLD TOUR”. It was a truly worldwide tour, with visits not only to the usual North America and Europe, but also to South America, Asian countries, and Oceania. The Austin performance of this work was the 16th performance of the final edition “North America #3”. And this “North America #3” is also special in terms of records. Up until now, we have reported on each leg with a masterpiece live album, but the video was unsuccessful. However, as soon as “North America #3” begins, a series of superb images appear as if to make up for the lackluster performance up until then. Starting with “HOLLYWOOD FLORIDA 2019” that we introduced the other day, “ST. LOUIS 2019” will also be released at the same time this week. This is a rich harvest that was unthinkable since the early days of the tour, when it was difficult to enjoy the sights for a long time. In particular, at the Austin performance of this work, two types of videos that were difficult to rank came out from one show. This work arranges it on each disc. Now, let’s introduce each one individually. [Disc 1: Super beautiful panoramic shot] The first “VIDEO 1” that appears is a super beautiful video that is beyond beautiful. It is a overlooking shot taken from the second floor seat slightly to the right of the stage (closer to Ian Hill), but what is surprising is the image quality. Anyway, it’s super vivid, super clear, and super clear. The dancing lights create a laser-like sharp beam of light, and even from a distance you can see every stud on the costume. Although we are exposed to countless digital images today, it is rare to see images as beautiful as this one. Another point is the view. Even though I was sitting on the second floor, I was in the front row, and the front row’s heads and arms were completely absent, and only the stage occupied my view. In fact, the camera work is a fixed shot that shows the whole stage and hardly moves, but the placement is exquisite. You can see every corner of the range where the members can move on stage, making it easy to see. Instead of chasing the highlights, you can see everything in your field of vision, and you can see Rob changing into various costumes and coming and going when he changes colors, and the screen that visualizes the world of the song with a wide variety of images is perfect. I’m very happy to be able to clearly understand the production of “FIREPOWER WORLD TOUR” as there have been few video titles so far. Also, normally fixed shots would get boring, but in this work, thanks to the unusually high image quality, you can feel every move of every member. Rather, you can enjoy it as many times as you like by changing your perspective. [Disc 2: Powerful video that looks like a professional shot] “VIDEO 2” that appears instead is amazing! This is an extremely powerful close-up shot with a completely different personality. After all, the shot is so close up that you can’t tell from the shooting position. It seems like the photo was taken from the arena on the first floor, but beyond that, it’s pretty clear. A screen capture is also posted on the right, but each member’s waist-up/bust-up is drawn across the screen, so close that you can’t really tell the distance. Furthermore, the camera work is also in contrast to “VIDEO 1″. This one follows the members with a ferocious zoom, and you won’t miss a guitar solo or a full-throated shout. Moreover, I was surprised at how stable it felt. I shake the camera without zooming out while keeping it super close up, but there is almost no shake. What particularly blows my mind is the twin guitar solo. Richie Faulkner and Andy Sneap, who are on both sides of the stage, interact, but they are both quickly switched and placed in the center of the screen. Despite changing perspective from one end of the stage to the other almost instantaneously, there was no confusion between the members and no hesitation in their movements. Just with the camera work, it’s as exhilarating as playing basketball, making no-look passes. It is a wonderful active shot. Unfortunately, there are cuts between songs and “Prelude” is missing, but the impact and quality is definitely the best video. Disc 1 provides a super high-quality view of the entire show from the special seats, and Disc 2 is extremely impressive with intense close-ups and masterful camera work, reminiscent of professional shots. Although their personalities are completely opposite, both are incredible shots that represent the tour. I never thought that two videos of this size would come out from one show. Perhaps the “FIREPOWER WORLD TOUR” was so wonderful that it was said to be “the best tour of the 21st century,” and it was because of its reputation as “North America #3” that the master chronicler was so passionate about filming. A two-disc set that can be called the ultimate in modern audience shots. ACL Live at The Moody Theater, Austin, TX, USA 29th May 2019 AMAZING SHOT!!(2 Versions) Disc 1(93:43) 1. Necromancer Intro 2.
