Description

The ultimate evolution of the superb soundboard that competed for the title of champion in the “TURBO” era! The highest peak update board, in which “GRAF ZEPPELIN” refinished the upgrade master, is born! The only full soundboard that has not been made official The “St. Louis performance on May 23, 1986” is permanently preserved in this work. It is a superb stereo soundboard recording. The “FUEL FOR LIFE Tour” accompanying “TURBO” was the largest soundboard production period in JUDAS PRIEST history, and has produced many masterpieces such as the traditional “PRIEST…LIVE!”, Dela Eddie, and the 50th anniversary box. Among them, the St. Louis performance of this work is special among special. In order to know the situation around that, let’s first take a bird’s-eye view of the activity outline at that time. {“TURBO” released on April 14th} North American leg: May 2nd-19th (13 shows) *May 22nd “30th Anniversary Edition TURBO (Kansas City)” *May 23rd: St. Louis performance ←★This work★ May 24th-June 14th (18 shows) *June 15th “PRIEST…LIVE! (Atlanta)” June 17th + 18th (2 shows) *June 21st “HOUSTON 1986” “Official 50th Anniversary BOX” June 22nd-26th (4 shows) *June 27th “Official DVD/PRIEST…LIVE! (Dallas)” June 28th-August 31st (33 shows) European/Pacific Rim leg: September 28th-October 29th: Europe (22 shows) December 3rd-16th: Japan/Hawaii (8 shows) This is 1986, the era of “TURBO”. Kansas City was made official with the 30th anniversary Dela Eddie, Atlanta and Dallas with “PRIEST…LIVE!”. Even the recently released and very well received “HOUSTON 1986” has an official version with the 50th anniversary box. However, only a few takes of the St. Louis performance of this work were made official on the single B-side and bonus tracks, and the full scale has not been made official. This work is a full show complete version of such a semi-official sound board. New master + GRAF ZEPPELIN = Super Natural! Moreover, this work is a new masterpiece that has raised the highest peak. Previously, such as “MIDNIGHT EXPLOSION” and “TWIN TURBO (part)” have been loved, but both had a (slight) crisp distortion in the high notes. This distortion is not only a story of St. Louis, but also in the official Kansas City sound source of the 30th anniversary Dela Eddie. It has been thought that “the fate of the SBD excavated by the FUEL FOR LIFE Tour” is the “fate”, but this work is a new master that overturns that theory. In fact, the sound of this work is super natural. There is no shakiness, which was a concern until now, and it is so realistic that you can even feel the body of the instrument vibrating. Moreover, it is finished with “GRAF ZEPPELIN” mastering that makes the most of that realism. The above official sound boards are given a sound pressure boost to hide the shakiness and to create a powerful sound, but this work does not have that. While reproducing the on-site sound of 1986 as faithfully as possible, it creates a vivid feeling with fine details. Such an official transcendental natural sound depicts a full show of the now undesirable masterpieces of “TURBO”. Although the set is already familiar, it is different from “PRIEST…LIVE!”, so let’s organize it here for the time being. Turbo (5 songs) Out In The Cold / Locked In (★ *) / Private Property (*) / Rock You All Around The World (*) / Turbo Lover Classics (14 songs) British Steel: Metal Gods / Breaking the Law / Living After Midnight The Law of Immorality: Love Bites / Some Heads Are Gonna Roll / The Sentinel / Freewheel Burning Others: Heading Out To The Highway / Desert Plains (★) / Electric Eye / Victim of Changes (★) / The Green Manalishi (With the Two Pronged Crown) (★) / You’ve Got Another Thing Comin’ / Hell Bent for Leather (★) *Note: Songs marked with “★” are not included in the official “PRIEST…LIVE!”. Songs marked with “*” are exclusive to this tour. The “FUEL FOR LIFE Tour” was the biggest soundboard harvest period in PRIEST’s history. Which is its masterpiece? To state the conclusion clearly, this work and the recently released “HOUSTON 1986: SOUNDBOARD” will be the two biggest peaks. “HOUSTON 1986” is “combined power and vividness”, but this work is superior in “naturalness and beauty”. Even the Kansas City sound source of the 30th anniversary Dela Eddie, which was so moving, now feels dirty. An official transcendental absolute sound board that stands on such a level. Newly recorded and mastered! The past version did not have much of a crisp feeling to begin with, but this time there is no bandwidth down from 15kHz, and you can enjoy a sound that can be said to be almost perfect with no crisp texture at all. Super-excellent stereo sound board recording of “May 23, 1986 St. Louis performance”. This is the complete version of the sound board used for the official single B-side and bonus track, and is an upgraded version of the highest peak updated new master finished by “GRAF ZEPPELIN”. There is no crispness, which was a fate of the conventional master, and it is so natural that you can even feel the body of the instrument vibrating. Along with “HOUSTON 1986”, this is an absolute masterpiece of the “FUEL FOR LIFE Tour” sound board. Kiel Auditorium, St. Louis, MO, USA 23rd May 1986 STEREO SBD UPGRADE Disc 1(54:46) 1.
