Description

Our steel god JUDAS PRIEST has returned to Japan in place of Ozzy Osbourne whose visit to Japan has been cancelled. The latest original recording is now available. Of course, what is engraved in this work is the “March 21, 2019: Makuhari Messe” performance. It is a masterpiece audience recording when it served as the big bird of DOWNLOAD JAPAN which was just held 5 days ago. Although he had just completed the “FIREPOWER JAPAN TOUR” four months ago, Ozzy was hospitalized due to complications from influenza and bronchitis. When I was unable to come to Japan, I had to make an emergency return visit to Japan. It was a great return visit, but the show itself was amazing, and even metalheads who had missed their previous solo visit to Japan were full of praise, saying, “Priest is just so amazing these days!” It’s happening. [Super-adhesive high-class sound] This work is the latest live album that records such a show. This is an original recording given to me by the recording artist himself, but it’s amazing! The best thing about it is the on and strong core. It has a perfect fit and there is no gap in the dimensions. I can’t feel the distance at all, and it’s as if my ear is glued to the PA (one hit would burst my eardrum). I can’t believe it was recorded in the huge space of Makuhari Messe. Moreover, it is vivid. Rather than a carefully treated official live album, it’s more like a soundboard connected directly to a desk or IEMs. Every single guitar riff is glistening, and the drums and bass are solid. And, of course, Rob’s vocals are also very close, and you can enjoy his voice in such great condition that you might even say, “Isn’t this actually a recording?” (It’s such an amazing voice that I can understand why you want to say that.) You could say that five people were playing in my head, and I was struck by an intensely immersive feeling, as if my entire head had become part of the PA system. [A miraculous rare show] This super direct sound depicts a heavy metal paradise that is currently receiving rave reviews. I expected it to be a similar show since they were coming back to Japan 4 months after their latest tour, but I was surprised when I opened the lid. An onslaught of rare songs after rare songs! A total of 19 songs were performed, excluding the overture, but 8 of them were replaced, making it a big hit. Moreover, the contents are too delicious. In the first place, the revival of rare songs on “FIREPOWER WORLD TOUR” has become a hot topic all over the world, but it was also replaced in each leg. On this visit to Japan, we made all the changes in one fell swoop. Let’s compare it to 4 months ago and organize the changes. 《Songs that were removed》●Relatively standard songs Grinder, Desert Plains, The Green Manalishi, Freewheel Burning, You’ve Got Another Thing Comin’, Metal Gods●Rare revival songs/new songs Running Wild, Night Comes Down, Lightning Strike (new song)《Songs played in exchange》 ●Relatively standard songs Devil’s Child, Rapid Fire ●Rare revival songs/new songs Delivering the Goods, Bloodstone, Saints in Hell, Killing Machine, Some Heads Are Gonna Roll, Evil Never Dies (new song)… and so on. It’s a collection of relatively standard songs that have been stripped down to their heart’s content, with plenty of rare songs that have been scattered all over the world. I hope you can understand the onslaught of this attack. Three songs are especially amazing: “Delivering the Goods,” “Saints in Hell,” and “Killing Machine.” “Delivering the Goods” was revived last year for the first time in 38 years, and “Saints in Hell” was a surprise song that was performed live for the first time last year. “Killing Machine” is also being revived for the first time in 41 years, but there was only one recording of the sound in the 70s, and even if this work is included, it is an extremely rare song that is only the third performance. Of course, DOWNLOAD JAPAN is the only place in the world where all these things have come together. Even in the 50-year history of PRIEST, it is a one-night miracle. [Sister works that can be easily completed] Of course, this work alone is a very valuable album, but if you combine it with the previous visit to Japan, you can listen to almost all the songs of “FIREPOWER WORLD TOUR” (with the exception of 3 songs “Tyrant”) Only “Victim of Changes” and “Angel”. I wanted “Tyrant”! So, I would like to once again introduce you to the masterpiece “MUSASHINO FOREST ARENA 2018 (Shades 997)” that received great acclaim last year. At our store, we have delivered five live albums from the tour last November, but “MUSASHINO FOREST ARENA 2018” is a masterpiece that is a sister work to this work. In fact, they are works by the same recording artist collection. Moreover, the appearance of Glenn Tipton, which did not come true this time, is also recorded, and “Metal Gods”, which was not played in western Japan, is also included. With only this work and “MUSASHINO FOREST ARENA 2018”, all the songs played during the two visits to Japan can be recorded. *Note: “Tyrant” and “Victim of Changes”, which were not performed in Japan, can be enjoyed on “BLOODSTOCK OPEN AIR 2018”, and “Angel” can be enjoyed as a bonus track on “DARIEN 2018”. The second advent of the God of Steel unexpectedly materialized due to Ozzy’s illness. The circumstances alone were dramatic, but the show that actually took place was a miracle among miracles. Packed with extremely rare songs, the song is so sung that it could be mistaken for a recording. A world-class masterpiece live album that depicts the whole story with fiercely direct and superb sound. Disc 1 (46:39) 1. Intro (War Pigs) 2. Firepower Intro 3. Firepower 4. Delivering the Goods 5.
