The Modern Lovers, a newly discovered sound source recorded in a good monaural audience recording of a live performance held in California in July 1980! ! A new excavated sound source is released that includes a good monaural audience recording of the live performance held at The Roxy in California on July 18, 1980! It is digitized directly from the master cassette, and although it is monaural, it is recorded with very clear, stable and good sound quality. The masterpiece “Back in Your Life” released by the new members under the name Jonathan Richman & The Modern Lovers was released in February of the previous year, and the album was split between solo and band performances, but on this day they performed several songs. With the exception of the keyboard and drums, this is a solo performance with Jonathan’s own vocals and guitar. The day was divided into two parts, and only three songs from “Back in Your Life” were performed, including the famous song L “ouie Louie” written by Richard Berry, Freddie Cannon’s hit number “Tallahassee Lassie”, and Sam.
