Description

The highest quality sound from John Anderson and Rick Wakeman’s UK tour accompanying the release of the new album “The Living Tree” has arrived! ! The St. Albans performance, the 12th performance of the tour on October 30, 2010, is completely recorded with an ultra-high quality audience recording. The recorder is a British taper who provides many famous recordings in London and regional cities in the UK on the Trial and Uxbridge labels, and when you listen to it, you can only groan “As expected!” It is a magnificent sound that records the entire show for about 2 hours and 10 minutes. Perhaps it is the difference in microphones and recording systems, but the Cambridge performance version (gift title) released last week and the Fairy Fold Halls performance version (“SWEET MEETING”), which was not doubted to be the highest quality sound version, are recorded with the highest quality sound that is completely incomparable. The sound depth, graininess, natural depth, and every point of view are perfect sound that could not be more. Not only John’s vocals, but also Rick’s piano and synths are recorded with a truly spectacular sound, and like the gift DVDR (video of the previous day’s pool performance) released this week, it can be said that this is the perfect title to enjoy John and Rick’s current project. Because it was an acoustic live performance in a small venue, the applause between songs was loud, but perhaps it was the difference in microphone quality, but there was no unpleasant feeling that pierced the ears, and it was a super high-quality sound image that even had a sense of realism. The exquisite ensemble woven by the two was recorded in the best balance from start to finish, so you can enjoy the charm of this project in the best condition. Although it was just the two of them playing, there was no lack of appetite at all, and the charm and musical perfection can be felt more than the current Yes. At the beginning of the tour, there were traces of trial and error in the set, such as changing songs, but the tour has reached its 12th performance, the set has been fixed, and the performance seems to have gained more depth. The more you listen to the Yes cover and the new album “The Living Tree,” the more you realize that this album is filled with great songs that have a high level of perfection. This is a truly moving album that I would recommend to all progressive rock fans, as well as fans of John and Rick. The performance, sound, and everything else about this album is perfect, allowing you to experience the unique charm of these two musicians once again. I highly recommend this album!!!
