Description

This rare recording features a live performance in Sweden featuring the newly formed Black Cats, featuring drummer Terry Chimes (ex. The Clash), in a newly digitally transferred master tape! Johnny released the classic “In Cold Blood” and the acoustic “Hurt Me” in 1983, and was also active in 1984, working on a Heartbreakers reunion and remixing “L.A.M.F.” This rare recording features a high-quality stereo audience recording of a live performance in Norrhupping, Sweden, on November 9, 1984. The recording featured bassist Keith Yong, who was also a member of the “Que Sera Sera” album, Michael Simren on side guitar, and former Clash member Terry Chimes on drums. The master, newly digitally transferred from the original master cassette by the recording artist himself, delivers exceptional sound quality for the time, with a wide range and well-balanced clarity across all parts. This was the fifth gig of a six-day Swedish tour following a UK tour with Hanoi Rocks the previous month (the fourth gig is included on the same label’s previously released “JET BOYS IN SWEDEN”). The setlist included “Que Sera Sera” tracks “Little Bit of Whore,” “Endless Party,” and “M.I.A.”, as well as “Countdown Love,” which was also recorded for the album but scrapped. It’s also rare to see the full rendition of “Jet Boy,” a track from their Dolls days, and the encore featured four tracks, including the acoustic classic “You Can’t Put Your Arms Around A Memory.” Johnny Thunders – vocals, guitar Keith Yon – bass Michael Thimren – guitar Terry Chimes – drums
