Description

A treasured recording of a 1984 Scottish performance in good stereo audience recording has arrived! Johnny was active in 1984, releasing the masterpiece “In Cold Blood” and the acoustic work “Heart Me” in 1983, reuniting the Heartbreakers, and remixing “L.A.M.F.”. On November 18, 1984, a live performance at The Palace in Edinburgh, Scotland, with bassist Keith Yong and drummer Tony St. Helen, who were recording members of the album “Que Sera Sera”, was held at the Palace in Edinburgh, Scotland, with a good stereo audience recording! The sound quality is clear and can be said to be of a high class at the time, with a wide range and each part is recorded very well balanced. In addition, the positioning and pitch deviation caused by the master have been carefully corrected. The set list includes “Little Bit Of Whore”, “Alone In A Crowd”, “M.I.A.” from “Que Sera Sera”, and “Countdown Love”, which was also recorded for the album but was scrapped. At this time, the lineup often included side guitars, but on this day there were only three people, and you can hear the energetic performance that conveys Johnny’s good performance at first listen! And as a bonus recording, we have a live performance of the Heartbreakers in a very rare lineup without Johnny, held in New York on May 27th of the same year. This is also recorded with clear and well-balanced sound quality that could be said to be of high class at the time. Also pay attention to the rare set list that includes Pipeline, where Walter plays the main guitar, and two numbers by Walter’s band The Waldos!
