Description

The ultimate evolution of the hugely popular treasure track compilation! It has been decided to release it on 3 CDs with even more rare sound sources!! All 49 stereo sound boards left behind are permanently preserved in this work. The record-breaking memorial album “HIDDEN TREASURES 1985-2021” was a two-disc set that collected rare tracks after WHITESNAKE, but this work is a great expansion of that. From his first recording of STREETFIGHTER to his posthumous work “SY-OPS”, it is a three-disc set that overlooks the musical life of genius guitarist John Sykes. Now, let’s take a look at the contents. DISC 1: Very early STREETFIGHTER (1 song) ★New★ This work is a new sound source that was not included in the previous album “Zodiac 730” from the beginning. STREETFIGHTER was Sykes’ debut band. STREETFIGHTER is a legendary NWOBHM band, and the only recordings left of them are “She’s No Angel,” which was contributed to the compilation album “NEW ELECTRIC WARRIORS,” and the EP “CRAZY DREAM.” This album includes “She’s No Angel,” which was also Sykes’ first recording, and you can enjoy a NWOBHM song that would later become TYGERS OF PANTANG. However, recent research has suggested that the musicians playing on the EP “CRAZY DREAM” were not Sykes, but rather the twins Mick Kremastoules and Dave Senczak, and they are not included on this album.) DISC 1: JOHN SLOMAN’S BADLANDS (3 songs) ★New★ Next up is BADLANDS, who he joined after leaving TYGERS OF PANTANG. However, Jake E. Lee was in a different band with the same name led by an unrelated John Sloman, with other members Neil Murray (B), John Malone (Dr), and Graham Priest (Key). This band also featured Robin George and Gary Moore, but Sykes recorded four demos in May 1982. This album includes those four songs from the best master. And this is a treasure among treasures that exceeds a certain rarity. Sykes’ composition/guitar has gained a major feel without the local smell of NWOBHM, and it goes well with Sloman’s singing voice, which is reminiscent of Eric Martin. Since he was hardly involved in composing for THIN LIZZY, these four songs are also the missing link between TYGERS OF PANTANG and WHITESNAKE. DISC 1: Different from the official “1987” demo/rehearsal (9 takes) The era skips to WHITESNAKE. This is a demo of 9 tracks from “1987 (SERPENS ALBUS)”. This section is the same as the previous album “Zodiac 730”, so if you have already experienced it, please skip this. “Serpens demos” were recorded in large quantities on the official 30th anniversary edition, but this work is completely different. It is a continuous demo recording with advanced production, and there is no post-production like the official version, and it realistically depicts the production stage. Moreover, this work is of the highest quality. The take is the same as the first label version, but the sound re-digitized with modern technology from the original master is a world apart. It is a treasured demo where you can feel David Coverdale’s breath up close and John Sykes’ guitar is directly connected to your brain. DISC 1: BLUE MURDER demo (3 takes) ★ New ★ The fourth is BLUE MURDER, who has become independent. Six songs were included in the previous album “Zodiac 730”, but two more have been added to this album. The first is “Black Hearted Woman Jam”. This is a secret demo released by Tony Franklin, and although it is an instrumental, it is a fierce jam. The pitch of the tape released by Franklin was quite out of tune, but this album has been adjusted to the exact pitch and is permanently preserved as the highest version. The other is “White Cliffs Of Dover Jam”. This was performed when BLUE MURDER appeared on TV, and although it is actually a clarinet solo by Franklin, it is a trio performance with percussion (Carmine Appice) and acoustic guitar (Sykes) participating. DISC 2: BLUE MURDER Demo (Cozy Tape: 5 songs) The beginning of DISC 2, which replaced BLUE MURDER, continues with BLUE MURDER. The five songs recorded here are the same as those on the previous album “Zodiac 730”, and were created from the cassette tape “TEAC MR60” owned by the late Cozy Powell. The key point is this “Cozy tape”, which is of official quality in a completely different dimension from the previous sound sources, which were wrinkled and stiff. Moreover, the content is amazing. The album tracks also have different arrangements and phrases from the finished version, and Cozy’s unique bass drum hits are powerful. And above all, it’s an unreleased song! In particular, one song, “It’s Too Late”, is sung by Ray Gillan! This is a unique studio recording where Sykes and Ray overlap sounds, and this is the master quality version. In addition, the melodic and lively “Rockin’ And Rollin’ Our Life Away” is a great song that is a shame to be wasted. This is a treasure take that shows how Sykes was a mass-producing machine of masterpieces at that time. DISC 2 “OUT OF MY TREE” Rough Mix (5 songs) ★New★ DISC 2 is also full of new material. First of all, there are 5 different versions of the first solo album “OUT OF MY TREE”. The quality is completely official, and the completion and sound quality are comparable to the regular album, and the different versions do not feel strange even when played on shuffle. Of course, all the takes are different from the final album tracks. For example, “Standing At The Crossroads” is a long version with many vivid counts and ending refrains, and “She’s All Action” also has one more bass phrase from the intro. Even more important are the backing vocals, and in the final version, two Sykes sing in a dialogue, but in this work, there is only one. It is a song with a much cleaner impression. DISC 2 “LOVELAND” Rough Mix (5 songs) ★New★ A rough mix of the next work “LOVELAND” is also included. This one is even more worth listening to, and especially a must-listen is “Don’t Say Goodbye (Cancelled Master with John Lennon)”. It is a masterpiece among masterpieces that was the core of the “LOVELAND” project, but it was also a tragic song that was not officially released in its original form. Originally, Sykes wrote the song inspired by the “Imagine” documentary video, and Lennon’s voice (from the movie “Imagine”) was sampled in the song. However, this became a problem just before the release. A version without Lennon’s voice was quickly produced and released. And one of the songs on this album is the “Lennon’s voice version” that was originally supposed to be included in the album. Moreover, it is a leaked master of the finished version that has already been finalized. You can listen to the “original official track”. DISC 2: Studio version of “Please Don’t Leave Me” sung by Sykes (1 song) ★New★ In fact, “OUT OF MY TREE” and “LOVELAND” have been introduced as gift albums, but the last song on DISC 2, “Please Don’t Leave Me (John Sykes Vocal Remix)”, is a completely new song. This is the studio version of the famous ballad “Please Don’t Leave Me” with Sykes on vocals. Sykes has released many studio recordings, but all the vocals are by Phil Lynott. He only sang live. This take was produced there. The backing of “LOVELAND” is mixed with the vocals of “BAD BOY LIVE”, creating the “studio version sung by Sykes” that never came to fruition. DISC 3: Remix live with Coverdale (4 songs) The last DUSC 3 is the same as the previous album. If you have already experienced it, please skip this. And the opening is a live performance with David Coverdale, who was a hot topic in the previous album! Of course, Sykes and Coverdale never reconciled until the end and the reunion never happened, but this work realizes a “what if” encounter live with the latest AI technology remix. Please note that although it is AI, it is not the popular generated AI. Based on the official live album “BAD BOY LIVE!”, it mixes the vocal track of WHITESNAKE’s “LIVE… IN THE STILL OF THE NIGHT”. It is a genuine reconstruction of 100% the voices and performances of the members themselves. Both are live performances from 2004, and the rhythm section is the same, Marco Mendoza/Tommy Aldridge. It is a real embodiment of the “reunion that could have happened” with the sound of the members themselves. The content is just overwhelming. Led by Sykes’s thick Gibson, Coverdale begins to sing… Yes, this! How long have we been waiting for this moment? And even more so, the chorus. Of course, Coverdale is the main voice, but Sykes’ voice from “BAD BOY LIVE!” is also partially retained as a chorus. The magic of the two voices overlapping is more “reunion!” than the guitar. DISC 3: Official rare track collection (5 songs) full of precious collaborations The next section is the official rare track collection “Collaboration Tracks”. Sykes, who is a prolific producer, has few extracurricular activities, especially in the 40 years since WHITESNAKE, he has only released five songs. This work allows you to collect those five official takes all at once. The highlight is the luxurious collaboration with various musicians. For example, in “Heaven’s Missing an Angel”, Glenn Hughes’ vocals are a perfect match with the crying, thick guitar and Sykes’ chorus voice. In “God of War”, he collaborates with the famous Zakk Wylde. Both are heroes who use Les Paul and are characterized by picking harmonics. Although they seem similar, when they actually battle, it is a masterpiece take that highlights the individuality of both of them. And the masterpiece “Still Got The Blues”. This take was taken when participating in a tribute album for Gary Moore, and the vocals are by Danny Bowes of THUNDER. The tears that pour out the feelings of the beloved Gary’s masterpiece are unprecedented. DISC 3: Posthumous work “SY-OPS” track collection (5 takes + α) The last section is the posthumous album “SY-OPS”. Although it was said that it would be released, it ended up being unreleased, but three songs (+ α) were released online as a release notice. This work covers all of them. In addition to “Out Alive (2 versions)”, “Dawning Of A Brand New Day”, and “Gates Of Hell”, it also comes with a preview sound source “Album Sampler” that edits and connects the touches of each song on the album. Sykes-esque melodies, grand phrases, and even reggae-style songs pop up. It is unclear whether the day when “SY-OPS” will be released will actually come, but it seems certain to be a masterpiece. The album ends with a voice-over message announcing the release of “SY-OPS” and expressing gratitude to the fans who have waited so long, with the words “See you soon” that never came true.It is a treasure collection of 49 takes, 3 hours, 54 minutes, and 50 seconds. Although it omits TYGERS OF PANTANG, which has a rich official release, and THIN LIZZY, which has a huge number of demos (please enjoy them in our “THUNDER AND LIGHTNING DEMOS” and “THE SUN GOES DOWN”), it is a big 3-disc set that covers the entire career. In addition to the complete recording of the previous edition, which was a record-breaking hit, 19 more takes and 1 hour and 18 minutes have been added. This is a super-decisive edition that permanently preserves all of them in the highest quality ever. An expansion of the smash-hit rare track collection. 19 new songs have been added, including the expanded BLUE MURDER demo, “Don’t Say Goodbye” with John Lennon, and the studio version of “Please Don’t Leave Me” sung by Sykes, making it a huge collection of treasures from the debut band STREETFIGHTER to their posthumous works. It is a 3-CD set of the highest peak masters, with a total of 49 songs and 3 hours and 55 minutes. Ultra Rare Studio Recordings STEREO SBD UPGRADE & LONGER DISC 1 (78:06) STREETFIGHTER 1.
