This live show in 1992 can be said to be the peak of the unit with Joe Lovano and others, who have been actively doing sessions since the end of the 80’s, producing masterpieces and performances. At times with stern expressions, they hammer out phrases, at times exchange smiles, and even though they clash with each other’s individuality, they create a wonderful sense of unity with the best musicianship. Although it is a festival, the volume is comparable to a full concert. Johnsko’s unique “jazz” is beautifully constructed between relaxation and tension, orthodox and irregular.
