This is a new item from the Montreux Jazz Festival in 2022. Janie McPherson will be joining John McLaughlin & Fourth Dimension as a guest. With Janie’s participation, the band, which had a slightly stiff impression, is now as lively as a fish in water. Not only the piano but also the cool and soulful vocals are a big hit, showing off McLaughlin’s guitar and unison. McLaughlin’s playing style, which is hard to believe for an 80-year-old, is guaranteed to be spectacular. The streamed version was the master, and there was a lot of noise like popping and skipping overall, but the CD sound source has been visually checked for dozens of noises in all waveforms and corrected as much as possible.
