A collection of recording sessions for “Imagine.” First appearance of all tracks/upgraded audio. When John’s favorite British underground magazine “Oz” was found to be obscene and was taken to court, John and Yoko stepped in to help, co-writing the A-side single “God Save Us.” The original was “Well (Baby Please Don’t Go),” released by the Olympics in 1958. It was released in March 1971 and reached number 7 in the UK and number 11 in the US. This album includes “Power to the People,” a message song that takes “Give Peace a Chance” even further and targets “ordinary people,” “Oh Yoko!”, in which John’s unchanging, single-minded feelings for Yoko, whose sequel-like song “Dear Yoko” appeared on 1980’s Double Fantasy, are sung, and “How?” is a little different from the well-known ballads like “Jealous Guy” and “Oh My Love,” but is a more flavorful and hidden gem.
