Description

From the 1981 Japan solo tour that was realized during the release of the solo album “There Goes The Neighborhood”, the Budokan performance on May 18th is completely recorded with the highest level of ultra-high quality audience recording. It was made by the same recording person as the 1979 Eagles Tokyo Performance Definitive Edition “GONNA LAST FOREVER” released at the same time, and it was recorded with an amazing sound that can be declared the best Budokan recording at that time. Of course, we directly use the original master cassette, which is not even available among traders. As expected, it is a truly exceptional sound source that can only be groaned with the taper that produced a series of amazing recordings by Clapton, Jeff Beck, etc. I guess I’m using a pretty amazing microphone, but I can’t feel any sense of equalization, and even though there are a lot of cheers, the closeness and direct feel of this musical tone is a masterpiece. It’s a sound that makes you wonder what kind of equipment and where you should record to make such an amazing recording. If you take only the sound quality, the sound even exceeds the high-quality version “GONNA LAST FOREVER”, and fans will be thrilled with the definitive version of the 1981 Budokan performance that has finally appeared. Backing is provided by familiar members such as Jay Ferguson and Russ Kunkel, and you can hear a solid band ensemble with a tight groove. The overall sound balance is also excellent, and there is nothing to say about the sense of separation and scale of the sound. You can enjoy a wonderful show that lasts for 1 hour and 45 minutes with a sound full of stability and outstanding punch. After the performance of In The City, Joe cheerfully shouts “Hello kid!” and “Bakemono!” in Japanese. (He seems to like “Bakemono” and is shouting during other songs as well.) The amazing performance of Life’s Been Good, Rocky Mountain Way, and Funk #49 in the latter half of the show was a masterpiece, and it was a masterpiece of all rock music.・You can experience the ultra-realistic guitar sound that fans will want to hear.
