Description
The official albums “IN CONCERT” and “A LITTLE LIGHT MUSIC” will be released as a superb stereo soundboard album that forms the “90s trilogy”. This work contains the “September 1, 1990 London performance”. It is a concert that opened for FLEETWOOD MAC with HALL & OATES and excited the huge “Wembley Stadium”. The greatest attraction of this work, which contains such a major event, is the sound quality that is the best. Although the volume tends to be a little low with “Steel Monkey”, the rest is a direct-connected soundboard with a glittering sound. In fact, the ironclad sound is not strange to line up with the official version. The direct connection feeling of the table, which hardly contains the cheers of “Wembley Stadium”, is different in nuance from the official version, but the sound of the performance is a masterpiece that flows directly into the brain with fine details. This live album is even more realistic than the official “IN CONCERT” album, which was an excavated recording. The show depicted with that quality is worthy of being called a “trilogy” along with “IN CONCERT” and “A LITTLE LIGHT MUSIC”. Let’s organize the relationship with the official album here. “ROCK ISLAND” released in August 1989 – September 1, 1990 [this work] “CATFISH RISING” released in September 1991 – October 8, 1991 official “IN CONCERT” – May 2-23, 1992 official “A LITTLE LIGHT MUSIC” In this way, the two official live albums were the “CATFISH RISING” tour, but this work is the “ROCK ISLAND” tour that came before that. The band ensemble is similar because they are close in time, but what is not similar is the set list. Since it was an undercard performance, the full set consisted of 12 songs from this work, but there was only one song that overlapped with “IN CONCERT” and only three songs from “A LITTLE LIGHT MUSIC”. In other words, the majority of the songs cannot be heard on the two official works. The contents include not only new songs from that time such as “Rock Island”, but also 90s versions of classic songs such as “Serenade To A Cuckoo”, “Fat Man”, “Aqualung”, “My God” and “Pibroch”, which complement the official live album. This is why this work is one part of the “trilogy”. JETHRO TULL at the time attracted attention by winning the Grammy Award in the HR/HM category in 1989. Although it was a joke-like event, it was certainly an opportunity to gain momentum. This is a masterpiece live album that allows you to enjoy the “early 90s” with the finest table-connected sound. This 1990 work stands alongside 1991’s “IN CONCERT” and 1992’s “A LITTLE LIGHT MUSIC”. It is a masterpiece as a live album, but it also complements the official version with a quality that rivals it.
