Description

This is a must-listen for fans, a 1 hour 50 minute recording of the Louisville performance on March 16th from the large-scale US tour held during the release of “Songs From The Wood”. If it weren’t for the cheers of the audience, it would be mistaken for a soundboard recording, as it is recorded with an ultra-clear sound with outstanding stability. David Palmer, who supported Tull from behind the scenes as an orchestra arranger, officially joined as a keyboardist, and this is a live recording of the new Tull, which became a six-person group. In the first half, acoustic numbers are fired in succession, as in the sound world of “Songs From The Wood”, which is unified with British traditional colors. From the instrumental part following the title tune, it gradually transitions to a hard-driving number. A New Day Yesterday is sandwiched between a flute solo and Living In The Past. The audience cheers. In the second half, Velvet Green and Hunting Girl from the new album are performed live. Along the way, a light instrumental arrangement of the second movement of Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9 by twin keyboards is also played. You can enjoy a wonderful set that exquisitely arranges early numbers with numbers from the mid-70s onwards such as the title tunes of “Too Old To Rock’N’Roll” and “Minstrel In The Gallery”, and Back Door Angels from “War Child”. It’s such a wonderful recording that you wonder how they could record it so on. The sound quality and content are the best! This is definitely a must-have new sound source title for fans.
